The contest was a great idea I hope you do another one soon. I had fun coming up with the cards even if they didn't win. All I wanted was to be mentioned and I was, so I happy.
Thanks guys - glad you liked it - so you're reccomending...
4 Drop
Theresa Cassiday<>Siryn
Loudmouth
8/7 Flight/Range
Mutant-Energy
Remove a +1/+1 counter from a character you control >>> Target opponent exhausts a character he controls with cost 3 or less. Use this power only once per turn.
and
X-Factor Investigations
Location
cost-1
Exhaust X-Factor Investigations. Discard a card >>> Put a +1/+1 counter on target X-Factor Character you control.
makes sense to me. I'll PM you tonight. If I can find the time maybe I'll do up some photoshop jobs too...when will the word doc be available for download?
and it's Scott Hamilton (but yes, online I just blend it all together and go as "sham-il-ton"
Keep up the good work, and same as last week - you guys seem to gotten your audio issues worked out - sounded great.
Sorry Homer, the link thing, I had to restructure my photobucket account because it was convoluted and hard to find stuff, so after I sent you it, my links didn't work :(
lol, if you wanna see exactly where they are from, Check out the awesomness that is Zelda Here. I put a lot of effort into this set, and apparently people loved it, asit is the 2nd most viewed thread on the VS TCGPlayer forum. I love Nintendo.
Top five... Again, the atrocity, no one said Millenium?
Honerable mentions on this topic are too many to list. This was defiantly an awsome top 5 topic.
5. A Nostaligic pick, common enemy
4. 31st Century Metropolis
3. Millenium
2. UN Building
1. Extended Family
Now, on to the contest, first of all, I absolutly intended to put mutant on Vance... I have no idea why I forgot to write that in. *DOH*... Also, being my own devil's advocate, I figured their powers were balanced in that they had to be in play a round before any of the cool ones would work. Ofcourse I didn't even consider the rediculious brokeness of speedball and Join the Fight. That was defiantly one interaction I overlooked.
I'm amazed by how much of the gunslinger set I didn't recognize. I just started on book 5. Awesome read BTW. So were a lot of those names from the later books, or do I just have a bad memory? Either way, bonus points from me for awsome source material. Kamiza FTW!
I too wish to play 7 Captain Americas and to heck with the story. Perhaps a VS card storyline can inspire a comic storyline rather than the other way around.
Ok, heres my take on making a deck more centric to a single character.
What if a mechanic was included in the game where you could evolve a character each turn, by playing a higher drop version of that character, and gaining resource points equal to the last version, which would then leave play.So you could play a 3 cost cap, then when your 4 cost comes into play you gain 3 resource points, so could recruit an equipment or some more characters... Maybe tac on a rule that equipment attached to lower cost version will remain in play and be attached to the new version... ect... So you wouldn't have 7 captain america's in play, but you would still have a captain america at each drop, without completely restructuring the entire theme of the game.
