There has been a thread for 2006, there has been a thead for 2007. Its time to start one for 2008.
I personally love to try and guess what will come next and then look back and see who was able to get closest.
Even though i will say no one would have guessed a Legends set for anything was coming down the pipe.
So we know kicking off 08 is Civil War for Marvel.
I will go with Brave and the Bold to kick off DC.
Green Lanterns Speed Force Emerald Enemies or Anti Matter( it might be a stretch but can use Sinestro Corps and Crime Syndicate of Amerika I, which could fit under Anti matter.) Rouge Gallery
3rd Quarter
Something X
Age of Apocalypse possible
X-Cutioner’s Song,
They would seem to be the two most likely to be used.
4th Quarter
Not sure on a title but,
JLA
JSA
Villains United or Secret Society (really the same team anyway.) Crime Syndicate of Amerika I (might be a better fit here?) Infinity Inc.
So what does everyone else think? Not so much what you would love to see but something that really would fit in terms of how UDE is making sets and trying to keep teams around for SA.

I was under the impression JLA was getting a re-feature in DC Legends - this would be 1 year after that set, so why would they re-feature them again so quickly?
Other than that, it seems like a pretty interesting list. I'd love a Brave and the Bold set. :)

Ya and my understanding is Xmen will be in Marvel Legends. Even though that will make two sets worth of Xmen stuff legal for any SA events. So i will be curious to see how The Legends sets are designed and how that will effect future sets.
I will be shocked if the X-Men arent featured every 3 sets from now on, since UDE is getting back to the core teams and X-Men is arguably Marvels largest(I didn't forget Spidey)
Xmen
XFactor
Marauders
Shi'ar
Horsemen of Apocalypse
I think X-Factor is a great idea but marauders are too small for a full team maybe a 5th team but not a full one.
And now that we are getting Giant Size Vs. I think Apocalypse and his horsemen will be featured there instead of in a set.
And since that will hopefully be coming in 2008 lets put my ideas out for that.
Hopefully it would be structured like the New Wow Molten Core Raid where there are multiple diffrent bosses to fight before getting to the end.
First Fight Ozymandius
Then you start fighting the four horsemen each one being one of 3 diffrent characters.
Famine - Autumn Rolfson, Ahab, Sunfire
War - Hulk, Deathbird, Gazer (Abraham Kieros could also be here but these are the three most recent.)
Pestilence - Plague, Caliban, Polaris
Death - Angel, Wolverine, Gambit
Mister Sinister would be next and the final fight would be against Apocalypse.
Each time you played it would be diffrent because there would be 4 out of 12 horsemen to fight.
Hopefully Galactus will be done well and the DC one is good so we can get to this one.
I think the Civil War set will be Avengers Masters of Evil Marvel Knights and Crime Lords.
Arclight
Exodus
Frenzy
Gambit
Harpoon
Lady Mastermind
Malice
Mister Sinister
Mystique
Omega Sentinel
Prism
Random
Riptide
Scalphunter
Scrambler
Sunfire
Tempo
Vertigo
and Sabretooth
Oh and here is the press release for the Legend sets to remind those that forgot or never got to read them.
Marvel Legends (8/07)
Legends assemble! You can expect many of your favorite teams to return in this set, including the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Brotherhood. Not only will Marvel Legends highlight some of the biggest teams in the game, it will also feature some of the biggest characters this side of the comic world. Marvel Legends should provide a strong base for both new and current players.
DC Comics Legends (11/07)
Not to be upstaged by their Marvel counterparts, the heavy hitters of the DC Universe come out in force in DC Legends. You can look forward to the JLA, the Flash, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Batman, and Aquaman (just to name a few)! Once again, this set will provide a solid foundation for deckbuilders new and old.
