After seeing all the Outsiders cards, can there be a playable deck to put these 3 teams together? They have great team attacking cards. Anyone think it can work?
im voting yes just my sloppy rough draft of jli/titans went 2 hours against a check/jsa in the finals of the last tourny i played(and his was well tuned)so im thinking hells yea
go break saftey & numbers which outsiders desperately need! Plus you can run the Kooey which is like the sexiest card in the universe! Not to mention you have 3 drop dr.light chick & soul slicer which is better then 3 drop joseph jones! Another nice feat is the fact that you really don't need to run too much jli at all.
here are the stuff I would consider:
1)cathrine corbett
2)justice league task force
3) saftey & numbers
4) kooey
As for the teen titans stuff. I would reccomend that 2 drop barry allen flash.
Truthfully Dr. light should be enough to team up your deck with jli which is hot! Also dick grayson 3 drop should allow you to team up with titans if you need to. You should have plenty of search.
The best thing is that the deck looks fun. I have been tinkering with saftey & numbers decks since jla came out so I am also looking forward to this team up. If you get a working list going before I do pm me or go ahead & post your tricks here.
Another team to look at to match up with the Outsiders are the Avengers. Quicksilver, Wasp, Black Widow and Monica Rambeau all have awesome team attack abilities, not to mention Legendary Battles is an excellent plot twist.
If you are going Teen Titans/Outsiders I would run something like this. The highlights of the deck are bolded.
Thunder(1) Invulnerability to other team attackers? yes
Faust(1) Hidden tech makes him atleast a 1 of
Speedy(1) Kos 1 drops
Mirage(1) For the teamup
Dove(1) Fetches Hawk
Technocrat(1) Draw those precious cards I need whenever he team attacks? Sure Robin(2) Broken.
Flash(2) 4 attack 2 drop that isnt stunned while attacking. Of course.
Hawk(2) a beasty 4/4 that fetches his friend Terra(2) stops target from being stunned
Katana(2) Basically makes your opponent swing back on her
Grace(2) Swing up the curve? Sure
Looker(2) Makes sure I dont take massive beats if my opponent still has characters after my team attacks Wylde(2) Burn for each attacker each time? yup
Dr. Light(3) This is the key card of the deck
Nightwing(3) Readying characters? Yup
Beast Boy(3) Growing in size for each attack? yup Arsenal(3) For off initiative tricks
Batman(4) We've seen this before.
I want to keep it a short curve to effectively swarm theboard and in the later turns will will have fighting the liar to keep our opponents larger characters in check off initiative.
Plot Twists
Teen Titans Go
Batman and the Outsiders
Teamups
Press the Attack
Betrayal of Trust
Recruiting Drive
Booze Elementals
For Silver Age, I can see either the JLI or the Titans being potentially quite good in a team-up with the Outsiders.
The 3-drop Nightwing and the 2-drop Bart Allen together is tech. They kill a 5-drop, and since your re-readying Allen can't get stunned, he'll get to swing after a team attack into a 5-drop. Slap a turn-length attack pump on him, and he's able to roll with Dick up into a 6-drop and then take out a 4-drop on his own.
I like the JLI for abusing the Outsiders cards that trigger off the number of team attackers, since they have more recovery and card draw tricks to make slapping down a lot of 1-drops and 2-drops more affordable. Joseph Jones and Soul Slicer makes for a ridiculously mean on-initiative bit of field control, and they together share enough good locations to make the Cobert nation nutso. Deck name!
