So Im going to be playing some sealed or draft today at our local store.
I've heard that 5 drops are hard to come by & that outsiders are plentiful.
What other tips or tricks do you guys suggest for those of you whom have drafted & or played the sealed with this set????
(this isn't a corelation thread)

Well first off the things i would have changed in the deck:
I would not have played krypto at all! I would have switched that for either the crime doctor or roy harper I would not have played city of tommorrow instead I would have played either 1 more gorrilla warefare or standoff.
The ongoing theme was extremely strong!

3 drop ultra man was a beating. I ended up getting him out 3 of the 4 games & he made the match ups easier wins. Guy is definetly worthy of a first or 2nd pick imo.
battle of metropolis was incredible especially with ultra man. In sealed & draft it isn't like anyone reinforces often anyways. An extra attack pump all the time was really incredible. 1st pick worthy!
2 drop crispus allen was suprisingly good. I only saw him once but he won me a game by revealing 4 resources one of them being impervious which allowed me to know exactly how to attack for the rest of the game. Im not sure this guy will see much constructed play but knowing your opponents stuff can really be wrecking in limited.
5 drop supes. At first glance of this guy I thought he was horrid. He saved me 15 endurance on turns 5,6 & 7!!!! He is an incredible defensive play on turn 5.
The question 4 drop. Here was another card that I deemed horrible which really worked well with the revenge squad ongoing theme. I played this guy on 2 of my matches & got his ability off twice easily. I really think this set was designed nicely for limited. One game I played i got him to a 9/10 with 6 face up ongoing's with a cost of 2 one of them being battle for metropolis. The great thing about him is your opponent has to play around his ability. So if you keep your row down & you opponent foolishly attacks him with their 3 drop thinking you cannot possibly have 4 have down in the row you probably will just have won the game.
training day is an amazing team up! i was always glad to see this card & it got used allot of the time it was face up.
There were some more strenths to the deck but these listed above were by far the ace in the whole.
I would like to point out all my opponents went odds to try to kill on turn 7.
Well I actually pulled no 7 drops & you know i wouldn't have needed one. Only one game i played went to turn 7 every other game I won on turn 6 easily. This limited sealed & draft format definetly looks like a fast format.
when i opened my packs intially I really wanted to go Insanity but my deck didn't warrent me going that. I just didn't have enough arkham support. At first glance i wanted to go outsiders becuase of the 2 markovias but after seeing so little outsider characters i thought it would not be worth it. then i saw all the og's & revenge squad characters & knew i was going revenge squad. I studied the plottwist for awhile & noticed that most all them were a cost of 2. Therefore i deduced I could make question workable & he was.
The decks i played against were
a supes protector theme
a gotham deck that actually got alfred off
an outsiders/team supes team attack deck
The closest match up was against kyle with the outsiders/ team supes team attack deck which took me to 7. Supeman ftw. the saving of 15 endurance for me was my saving grace. Kyle keelexed every turn keeping his whole board which was annoying against my curve deck.
Scott played a gotham deck & did fine but it could'nt deal with battle of metropolis, ultra man & brainaic 12 on turn 6.
Jason played the supes protector deck & got it worse with a 9/10 question on 6. I must say though jason missed his 5 drop & had to underdrop a 3 & 2 drop. Bad draws stink. It didn't help that i double skreee'd him on turn 4 and attacked his double stun batman with an 8/8 question while my 3 drop ultraman was in play. This was the match up that i abused the hell out of crispus allen.
I did learn a useful lesson & that was you cannot always go insanity! I do think revenge squad is going to be really good in limited.
for my draft portion of the day I drafted outsiders. I had a complete mono outsiders deck. my first pick first pack was the 3 drop dr. light so i thought maybe i could force it.
1 drop
owen mercer
faust
thunder
2 drops
1 roy harper
2 grace
1 looker
1 katana
3 drops
1 dick grayson
1 dr. light chick
1 geo force
1 black lighting
4 drops
1 thunder
1 huntress
1 batman
5 drops
1 grace
1 metamorpho.
plot twist:
batman & the outsiders
booze elements
x2 fighting the liar
hell breaks lose
incognito
recruiting drive
soul slicer
taking out the trash
locations
2 optiron coperation
markovia
equipments
power armor
First off I was impressed that i could draft such a feat but nobody else was in outsiders. I played the deck only against kyle who drafted my previous sealed deck (revenge squad) & won both games & both were very close. First off I think i should have taken odds with the deck & it was really hard to get enough characters to do the dr. light & batman & the outsiders trick. Possibly i didn't draft enough 1 drops. I don't think i saw a technocrat to be honest. I did pull dick graysons ability off a couple times but it was never that great honestly. Optitron corps really wasn't that great in the 2 matches i played as my opponent could work around it. I would have played that equip that gives you flight and range instead of runing the extra optitron which i did draft but didn't think i needed. I did!!! I would have not played 2 2 drop graces. I would have gone for the extra roy harper instead which i did draft put didn't play.
It was fun none the less. It is going to be real hard to pull dr. light off in draft. Funny thing was both games I soul sliced his 5 drop & i still lost. My draws were funky & i didn't fill my curve most the time. & i didn't ever see my search card nor that booze elements card.
The last game we played Kyle won on turn 8 my intiative I was -5 he was -1. black cat 3 drop hidden ftw!
