For a true X-statix refurbish there'd need to be more recent X-Statix material; which sadly hasn't come out recently. It's a shame, the team was hell of a lot of fun to play.

It's possible that instead of an X-statix refurbish, give another team a real "only man standing" theme? Hellboy got it somewhat, but didn't have the cards to support a TRUE single-man setup (Dead Weight, Spin Doctor, and X-Statix Cafe were all amazing, and even then it took the power of Science Spire and Fatality to make playing the team a reality).

Ah well, here's hoping.

Three words : Dark Knight Returns...

As much as I'd love to see some hot X-Statix action returning to VS, I agree that we'll need more material before it happens. Quite a few of the character cards we already have are bit players...Corkscrew? Dude was in like 3 pages before Doop killed him...IN A SIDE STORY ARC!!! Bloke, El Guapo, Mysterious Fan Boy, Saint Anna, La Nuit, etc...Not major players.

Lacuna could be made into a bona fide Statix character...And maybe a few more versions of Doop and Henrietta?

I do like the possibilities that Stu mentioned. Could be really cool! A dual-affiliated Doc Strange...Ant-Man, etc could also be considered.

Either way, I want to see more X-Statix comics, and I insist that Allred does the art. Except no less!!!

In Billy Zonos's recent article on Vssystem.com about the Marvel Knights, you'll find at the bottom of the atricle a list of trades to help flesh out what they will be doing and referencing on this expansion.

There was X-Statix Presents: Dead Girl TPB. So I guess that it's safe to assume a copy of Dead Girl - Moonbeam.

I also think that Wolverine might have a copy of Doop as one of those "Assisting Allies"... Or perhaps a copy of Wolverine with the X-Statix team?

Spike Freeman, Solomon O'Sullivan and Lacuna are the only real X-Statix characters left to be done that I can think of.
