I have a question about the recruting poitns or somthing like that. I really dont understand how to use them and if i do, do i keep them or do i loose them thanks for the help.
Every turn, you have the option to put a card down as a resource. So on turn 6, for example, if you've been putting one down each turn, there'll be 6 of them.
After you'd decided whether to put down a resource this turn, you count how many you have, total. That's how many resource points you get this turn---you can spend them to recruit characters and equipment, and the cost whatever number is the upper left corner in gold. If there are any points that you don't spend, they're just gone, so you can't save them up.
Plot twists and locations don't cost you resource points, though. They have a silver number in the upper left, called the threshold---if you want to use them, you just need to have that many cards as resources.
Let's say you have 5 resources on the fifth turn of the game, since you've put one down every turn. You get 5 resource points, and spend them to bring out a 5-cost character. When you're attacking later in the turn, you can still play as many plot twists and locations to pump up your character as you want---so long as none of them have a 6 or higher in the upper left, they're all legal.
After the draw step [draw 2 cards, a few things can happen if a card says so], the build phase starts. Once the build phase has started, the player with iniatitive gets to do their resource step. This starts with putting a card into their resource row, and then they gain 1 resource point for each resource they control. During the recruit step, they can spend these resource points on characters and equipment [and certain other effects, which would be listed on cards]. Once you end your recruit step, you lose any extra resource points you might have had.
Plot twists and locations do not use resource points, instead they have a threshold cost. This means that, you can play them as long as you have that number of resources in play, at no cost. There may, however, be costs listed as part of the cards text.
Yep---you have three rows, total. The front and support rows are for characters, and the resource row is for resources---you get to place one card from your hand into the resource row each turn, any card, and then it's a resource.
Although you'd probably want locations or plot twists to be in your resource row. There are exceptions [reservist characters], but you want to be able to use the resources as playable cards as well. Characters and equipment will ussually be played from hand, but you can use locations and plot twists from the resource row or the hand.
I am very very sorry for the double post but I have another question regaurding the cards in the resource row. If I use the resource points can I still use the cards effect or use the location?
In your Build phase you generate a number of resources equal to the number of cards in your resource row. These are alwasy generated every turn, there is no way to 'not' generate them.
Now you spend these on character recruitment and equipment recruitment. Up to however many you have. Then so long as meet the threshold cost of a plot twist you can turn it face up, if it is non-ongoing you then use it's power. If it is ongoing or a location you can turn it face up at any time you meet the threshold cost and use the power, or have the power in play if it is continous.
