I see a lot of talk about the fear of no more PCs in the future, but rarely do I see people toss around ideas to help support the future of the PC.

I think UDE has a lot of great minds working on it, but in reality, if they are getting stuck, what does it hurt to have people post thoughts or suggestions for them to refer to?

My feelings for the Pro Circuit are that UDE could try to partner with another company or corporation and cross promote each other. In most pro sports advertising is a big part of things, and that could hold true for VS as well. I'm sure there must be hundreds of assorted companies around the world that would love to get involved and have their products exposed in such a manner. Pro Circuit shirts for instance could be produced by Coke or Pepsi for instance. This could also lead to cross promoted items in main stream advertising, such as commercials and the like.

This has worked in Super Hero themed movies, so couldn't it work for VS?

I saad it a hundred times VS(UDE---Scott G) needs to go to the DC and Marvel company and say" Listen we're paying you for your Trade Mark. How would you guys like to make more money possably a 10% cut at what ever we sellthat would take 20% between the both of them. Leaveing UDE with 80%, 30% being rolled over to producing more cards, 15% Paying everyone in that Department, 20% going to UDE Leaveing 20% for Cash Tournaments. All you have to do is use your Promotion Department to Help us (UDE) make this game huge.

Me and Benzo ( My local Tournament Judge) You would think that Marvel and DC would be promoting this game out the yazo. We see it like this they( Marvel and DC) Promote the game in there comics,movies and cartoons the more it will sell the more it sells the more they make. Also if Marvel and DC could Maybe have some of the Artist go to the PC's and sign some stuff and cards that would be huge. I think theres a Lot UDE and MARVEL/DC could do to help with the game it's self. It makes me a sad puppy when they(Marvel/DC) can't get there head out of the sand and look around to see what where saying(the community). Would vastly help them as well as us(The Players and UDE)

To sum it up Marvel/DC and UDE need to have a little meeting and really try to make this gamae the best .

1.Ironing out a new Contract. So all company's are making Money.(we all know thats what it boils down too with company's)

2.Promoting the Heck out of it. Hobby League win cool swag like Mats,Shirts,Rare EA cards. Elite Series Win Boxs of product, Mats, Rare EA Cards(Maybe get to go to a PC), If they make more money threw them Promoting the game----PC WIN Big Money,Boxs of Product,Mats,Shirt,Hats,Rare EA cards (Maybe even Have a chance to sit down with Stan Lee, Jim Lee (fill in your Fav Artist), Maybe Have you Likeness put in a comic. That would make Comic book geeks(I'm one) Sign right up to play.There's a million Ideas running trew my head. Sadly It would only work IF UDE/MARVEL/DC can find a middle ground and get along. One can hope for that day to come (looking at the star wishing apon a star).

3.Making this game the best out there.

If Jim Lee was drawing that book it would never come out...unless you had all 52 Jim Lee's drawing it at once sort of like monkey's at a typewriter or game designers at a playtesting session...

That Said there's more to it than just asking Marvel and DC to help Promote the game...Konami has to buy space from Marvel at the same rate to promote the Marvel Trading Card Video Game that they produced with the UDE and Marvel licenses...and WB is making Sony do the same thing with the DC MMO. They license the product then get the advertising dollars they get more money on both ends...

Anyway, if people start buying packs in similar quantities to YGO, Pokemon, Magic and WoW, then we'll have a flourishing pro scene, complete with PCQ's, 10k's, and 50k's. Its that simple.

One thing that UDE could do differently though, starting now with Legends, would be to have the stuff sold in Walmart and Target. This is crucial, I think. The time is now UDE; we need some new players and we need some new tourneys. So lets sell some ####ing cards!

Your right about jim lee making the comic ROFLMAO. What I said was have a sit down with you fav Artist. You could Have who ever is doing the comic art throw your likeness into a comic. I know theres more to it than just asking them thats why I said make a new contract for them so the make a percent on the product so they get more money on both ends. please read what I said agian about the percents. It would work to everyones advantage.

I understood your point but the thing is they make more money by charging the Ad Rate and the licensing fee than they would off 10% of sales of Vs.; Besides if Warner and Marvel were to make a deal like that it sets a bad precedent for other licensing based properties that would want the same deal.

The other thing is that Marvel and DC could honestly give a rat's ### about the game from the UDE perspective as long as UDE keeps paying the fee's and rights to use the likenesses...

OK well Like I said at the end one can wish can't he. I know it will never happen. I don't know if the don't care about the Product it self. VS is one of the reasons I got back into Comics in the first place. I think it would be good for all the companys if they could work together in making it a better Promoted game. People Play the game start reading the comics, buying the video games,watching the T.V. show, Going to watch the Movies Big circle everyone would win in the end.

It would be nice to have all three companies be on the same page and understand that a synergistic alliance would be in the best interest of all properties, comics and card based...unfortunately we don't live in the happy-time play land of unicorns and rainbows and playmates willing to sleep with me...well most of us anyway; we live in a world dominated by profit margins and shareholder interests, where comic books get a 6 month window to prove they're viable or they get canceled and sets get pushed into other sets and companies have to increase a set size to create a different secondary market paradigm. w/e they do i just want them to be straight up and honest...if were getting one pc a year...w/e i just want to know straight up...alot of people do...as for marvel legends i know 6 out of the ten guys i play with who are waiting to buy the set based on whats going to happen...so whatever schedule UDE is going to use..releasing it before the prerelease would be good.
