I know we are still basking in the Marvel Legends after-glow but in the time leading up to the PC, there were varying opinions of the impact of WF on the meta.
Now that the PC is over, I wanted to get your opinions on how good WF is (with City Champs etc etc).
The Supes/Bats deck is pretty strong. Supes-4 is pretty annoying when you can attack 3 times on turn 4 and your opponent takes ZERO.
Did Batman-6 scare away a lot of the stall decks? And what about those Birds of Prey splashes? I heard SKREEE! was popular and Quickie took advantage of Crackshot.
I think it's a great set with a good, subtle balance. I enjoy that the Superman/Batman deck is actually a force to be reckoned with (and will get even better once we switch from Hats to Clouds), and I'm having a blast teaming Outsiders with anything that'll stand still.
On the other hand, I am probably more annoyed with this set than any other before it because of Insanity rares. I am sick and tired of seeing them when all I want to open is a Last Son of Krypton. Just one. Is that too much to ask?
World's Finest seems to have made it's impact. Not as much as some other sets, but I think it's left a very definite presence in the meta, at least here locally and looking at the PC results (Lady Blackhawk/BoP in Substibuse).
In general, the set is better than I, and many others, originally thought. It doesn't seem to have the power of MTU, but it has more out of combat tricks.
I would say WF is a nice addition. I love the Brains and Brawn deck personally. My buddy who was threatening to quit the game if Gotham sucked again is now pleased that he can stay in the game. He loves the new Gotham cards. Insanity made a showing and the new Revenge Squad deck looks great. It helped here alot. Its MVL thats not been received as well by some if you can believe it. :)

about MVL:
For some, Change is very difficult. And the choice of reprints in the set leaves a little to be desired. WF has some really great characters and effects, just a really good addition to those teams and to the game itself.
Glad to hear your friend was pleased with the new GK (if it keeps him playing!).
I like the WF set and the only problem i have had with MVL were some of there choices for Reprints The Power Cosmic Cerrebro come on why and why wasnt the other just Worthington Industries
