Hey GOB,

A number of us from around the Bay Area would love to get details on the Elite Series event. Traditionally, Games of Berkeley has put together some amazing events, but the communication has been pretty lax. We'll get travelers from Sacramento, San Jose, and Stockton - I'd love to give them an appropriate "heads up".

Is there any way we can get a date, time, and cost from you some time this week?

Also, will you be running a Legends event?

man i wish it can be pushed to another day besides monday...THATS HEROES day! but ill still probably attend, watch heroes the next day...not HD though :(

Well, Elite Series has to be run on the weekend, so no worries there. Legends however...

Just talked with Brian.

He's trying to work out the specifics. Apparently, he needs to find out the exact guidelines UDE has given him so he can build the event per their specifications. However, from what he has talked about thus far:

It's on the 20th.

10 am registration, tourney starts at 11.

He's not certain about the cost or prize structure yet as he's going to need to talk with GoB about it. However, those of us who have been there can attest to the fact that GoB is very supportive of gaming - they don't charge for Marquee Events etc.

Also, decklists will be required. This will help duplicate the PCQ feel and will likely make for a good Casual Friday column.

This even is going to be on the Sunday! I apologize for misreporting. It's going to be $20 on Sunday the 21st.

Yeah I called last night and they said they could put up like 5 packs per entry for prize support also

(not to dig on GOB but i know my store would of had a bigger turn out then what this is looking like because of all the added stuff i would of thrown in)

That is awesome that Brian hooked up the additional Prize support...it doesn't change my mind any but, it is awesome.
