Concept for discussion: Run X-Men Assemble, Low cost (1-4) Green Lanterns, and AoA Wolverine. The general idea is that by running Jade, Jennifer-Lynn Hayden, Green Lantern Recovery Tek(Lanterns in Love, Revitalize, Guardians Reborn) combined with Wolverine's Recovery Tek(Healing Factor, COTA, Etc.) and some stun PTs for a massive build deck. The idea being that you team up everyone so that you can stun as you please, recover, stun, recover, stun, and people just get enormous fast.
I think combining the X-Men and Green Lantern is too much of a strain.
First off, AoA Wolverine recovers once by himself, and you can run 8 other recoveries with just Healing Factor and Children of the Atom, so GL seems like much more of a burden than a benefit. You don't want to go overboard losing 4 endurance and cards just individual +1/+1 counters anyways.
Green Lantern provides another strain ... it's dragging you into Golden Age. AoA Wolverine with 4 X-Men Assemble, 4 Healing Factors, and 4 Children of the Atom works just fine in Modern Age, where it actually seems quite viable.
In Golden Age where you need consistent control to break combos and need to be either able to withstand rush or out-rush it, late curve combat based strategies like this need to be very defensive and also very grounded in control.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't really say X-Men and Green Lantern have that on their own merits.
So, I'd have to say no, it isn't viable (in Golden). However, you could still abuse AoA Wolverine in Modern.
Sounds like good advice. I was building a green lantern life deck last night and saw all the unstun they had. I figured I'd ask the more experienced players. Oh well. Scrap it then.
