Most of the cards seem valid enough, but the two were fake, made with card editors. I dunno, the cards listed are not nearly worth what he was asking for anyhow.
I know the Demo kits are supposed to sport new cards and starter decks, but I never got my Demo kit or even contacted about it yet. And since the cards are fake and could not be played in a real tournament, I wouldn't buy them anyhow.
That 'sneak attack' like card does 50 power? Uhm, yeah, right....
The demo decks were from before the game was actually released. I don't think they are fake, they are how the game started. In the original design, players started with 8000 life or so. So 50 wasn't such a big deal.
I think they are pretty cool to have, but not useful for anything.

1000 "power". Though I don't think they had any "Setting" cards, and I don't recall there being an Event card with that name or effect, so they could still be fakes.
I do have an oversized promo card from before the game design was finished...it's Nightcrawler, using the artwork and layout from the MOR cost-2 guy, with the playtest stats of 90/90 (with cost 2). He was actually kinda small in the playtest setting, but had an awesome "direct-attack" power.

Check out The Dwarf's blog there. There are 6 articles, entitled Merry X-men I, Merry X-men II, etc, all the way to Merry X-men VI. Each one shows a few of the beta cards.
there's no way those cards are fake, at least, fake by his doings. 100% positive feedback since 2003? that is quite a feat.
sure, he might not sell it this time around, but do those things need to be sold together? idk, id sell them separately from eachother since they are for "different games."

These cards really do exist, so chances are, this lot is not fake. And he has at least two up there that I don't have - Genetic Mutation and Chamber. Damn! It makes me want to bid on it. But not really. But sort of. Hmmm...
They went for $105. I litterally had my cursor over the "bid now" button for the final 2 minutes, but I could not justify paying over $100 for just one or two cards.
But if the winner wants to make some side money to offset the cost, he should let me know. ;)
