I decided to throw together an X-Men deck for our hobby league games tonight. I had a good time with it, but it definitely needs some tweaks. I was only able to win 1 of my 3 games with it (although my losses were both VERY close games). The biggest loss was against a Secret Society mono-deck, in which Scarecrow and Poison Ivy stunned and then KOd my 6-drop Colossus. Talk about two cards that should NOT be commons...but anyway.
The second loss of the night was to an Underworld deck. I should have won with my pumped up Colossus on turn seven, but sent my attackers in in the wrong order and wasted my non-recovery effect from Iceman. I also was unable to recruit a character until turn 5, which really hurt. The end of that game ended up a close loss for me, with my opponent at -6 and me at -12.
Anyway, here's the deck list. Suggestions or help to make it better would be most welcome!
Plot Twists:
4x Turnabout
3x Drain Essence
3x Kidney Punch
3x Feel the Burn
3x Special Delivery
2x Phase Shift
2x Mutant Massacre
2x Homo Superior
1x Chill Out!
1x Blow the Man Down
I never used Harry's Hideaway, and I was thinking maybe Cerebra might be more useful. I also found that I always had the opposite ATK pumps...if I needed one for a Physical character I had some for Energy and vice-versa. A few defense pumps would be great for the situations where you're not outmatched (but Turnabout is a beauty of a card!).
