I'm not sure if this should be here or in the OCTGN thread but I was wondering where was the best place to download OCTGN and the relavent VS patches.

http://www.metadigm.org/vs/step3.htm is a direct link to the OCTGN program you need to play. Plus it has most of the older sets on the site. Read the paragraph under the download about checking the VSREALMS MOD BOX. If you don't you wont be able to play VS. . Look for MTU here - http://www.vsrealms.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25516 the rest of the subsequent sets were by either Plays With Fire ( DWF MVL ) or myself. See my sig for my patches but you will have to search around for Playswithfires stuff in the OCTGN thread.

Almost nobody uses MWS for VS. Not a knock on MWS just a fact.

I think this is the site I used to download it last time but it doesn't seem to be loading currently is there any where else I can download from?

There is a link in the first post. As is the VS Ultra patch, but not all of the other Patches still work. The Ultra Patch covers MOR - MHG. I think the ones you need after that still work. Download Marvel Team up and DC Legion of superheroes. Once again, make sure you check the REALMS MOD BOX! Then see my previous post for how to find the rest. As for MWS it's another online game engine. I think it actually cost money. But I cant remember how much, I got mine so long ago.

Actually, because of how the servers that we use for Vs are set up, it appears that there is nobody playing. Just because you can't spectate matches doesn't mean they don't exist. ;) There is also quite a few Vs tournaments going on MWS, almost monthly.

Workstation is MWS (MagicWorkstation). It began as a way to play MTG (Magic: The Gathering) throught the internet with other players, now MWS is able to play many different games, including Vs System.

Nope, MWS is 100% free. If you do want to pay though, you can, you are benifitted with a few things, like MWS avatars.


I'll have an updated MWS Download up to DC Legends, including the EA set, MEX, MCG and MAA sets up sometime soon. I hope you guys look around for it.

Hey Wiiman. I use both. I think they both have different advantages and disadvantages. :) But I just wanted thank you along with everyone on the VSTCGplayer.com for putting the work to keep the updates coming. Neil, Guglio and the rest. If you need any images still for your DCL patch, feel free to Download my DCL Patch in my sig. Most of them are damn good images.

I actually play about 4 or 5 games a day on MWS right now...no problems finding games.

Has anyone found a way to draft using MWS? I haven't drafted since MVL came out.
