its not that he is a ripper but , we made a trade and i was to send first , i sent and when he got his end of the deal he claims cards to be missing, and tells me that he already sent them back and considers the deal null and void, he did not even give me time to figure out what if anything was missing nor did he give me any time to respond, he just said he was within his right
the facts are these:
reasonably large deal made in early december. he agrees to send first. i received a big heap of cards on friday, 1/4/07. i look sunday night to see if i recieve every card on the list. i see that it is missing 4 cards: 3 mex and 1 aoa card.
I decide that instead of trying to resolve this issue, that its not worth the trouble and just repackage all the cards and send them back first thing in the morning 1/7/07 the next business day. I notify the other trader this morning as well.
If one knows a little bit about the law, one knows that this is a perfectly acceptable and professional way of doing business, and now he wants to bad mouth me on realms. i understand that not everyone will agree with my seemingly strict professionalism, but i don't feel it makes me a bad trader. If you don't want to trade with someone who does business in a professional and transparent manner, by all means don't trade with me. If you want trade with someone who may or may not send you what you agreed upon, by all means, trade with the other participant in this thread.
feel free to look at the neg ref in my itrader rating for the message trail, and feel free to take into account the 'reputation and history' of the other participant in this thread.
i would not call what you did professional at all i would call it childish , harsh and reactionary, i do not know for sure that anything was left out as you claim, you have been very vague about what you say was missing, and it is not in any way professional to fly off the handle without notifying the other person first, if there was something missing it could have been shippeed out before you sent yours, or better yet just let them know before you do what you intend on doing, i know that our trade was a large one and in large trades sometimes things are left out, but most human beings understand that ppl make mistakes and things can be worked out.
bigpoppalicious:
Nobody counts rep from Maul anyways, so don't worry yourself. If someone has as many problems as that guy does, it can't always be the other person.
I would just suggest that you check people's rep before you trade: remove any remarks from Maul, and see if some of the people who have trade 40+ times have traded with that person successfully.
And then always have your own list of prefered traders. People who have been trustworthy once, are most likely trustworthy in the future. Large trades require special understanding, but if something was missing, then you were well within your right to return the cards and void the trade. If Maul really wanted the trade, then he should have double checked what he sent, and if he did double check, then he needs to learn to triple check and how to count. (It seems from feedback the same people are almost always a couple cards short...that's documented history, and that's fact.)
If you haven't done so already, I would suggest leaving negative feedback for Maul in response to his feedback. You might consider contacting an Admin as well: It seems that Maul leaves alot of negative feedback, even when he didn't make a trade with someone. (That's main reason almost nobody counts Maul's negative feedback...)
And by the way, thanks for the trade bigpoppalicious: From first hand experience, I can say that you are an honorable trader and that you just want the same in return.
