L5R History Lesson: Back in the day, there was a 0F/1C personality named Toku. He had no ability, he was useless. Only thing was... he was Free. He gave you presence which allowed for ridiculous things like Frenzy/Frenzy/Wedge for 2 Second turn provinces(Military Victory condition involved destroying all 4 of an opponent's provinces) without hurting dynasty side early game or worse yet, allowing you to buy in some Oni whose entering play costs involved killing one of your people(human sacrifice FTW!). Anyway, when they originally printed him, he was considered so useless he wasn't unique(I.E: 3 could be run). When he got reprinted as a soul of via his son Koto in Diamond edition, Toku abuse went so rampant they errata'd him to be unique(One in a deck, only one could be out between both players). So then... on to Vs now.
Superman/Batman Robot is a 0 cost with a nice boost effect. He is also a warm body to be the target of plot twists, reinforcement, etc. Yeah the dual loyalty gives him some sort of restriction, but you can square that away turn 1 in silver(Lois ftw). So then... finally, after all of this superfluous exposition:
Is there enough global pumpage, sacrifice tek, and other such madness to make Superman/Batman Robot the Vs Toku?
1) ... WOW. Why have I not seen this card yet?
2) Point taken on the dual loyalty thing. Still, in a rush deck that can be squared away on turn 2(Alfred turn 1, Krypto turn 2).
3) I'm assuming all of this is moot, as I've never seen a Haywire Abuse deck. Toku is a non sequitor in Vs? Lost in translation as it were? I guess Haywire+Fate Armor=fail? I guess it's just 6 ATK on turn 1 and not much else.
4) Freakin' Crane. How is it the Crane all went to Vs?! WHERE ARE MY PEOPLE!?
Well, Maggie Sawyer fulfills the Dual Loyalty all on her own, so the Robot could be played as a 4/4 on turn 2 (or, for some reason, as a 0/0 on turn 1). Frankly though, I still think Dual Loyalty is a lot to expect and would restrict the Robot to be played in later turns; and that would still carry some liability since the zero cost makes it vulnerable to those mid-game guys that wreak havoc with lower-cost (or combined-cost) character groups. Although, if those effects can be reliably negated, the Robot can be a pretty nicely-sized guy that's basically got invulnerability (without actually having that keyword).
What I don't like about the Robot, is that it gives Superman/Batman decks an option at turn 3 or 5 to have ANOTHER character that avoids stun endurance loss.
With Last Son of Krypton at 4, Robot means that for two turns, your opponent will probably NOT be doing any damage to you.
In my mind, that tilts the scales a bit. :(
I predict a solid Batman/Superman build that uses Robot at the MegaWeekend.

It cost is 0, so anything that says "..and less" affects it. Gift Wrapped, Scarecrow, Dr Psycho, and many more.
But in the end, this just gives Superman decks another "0-cost" character to use (that can be dropped on any turn) that will keep you from losing endurance.
I'm just saying, it might be the new Haywire or Phat for Superman decks.
