The first:
Is there any way to increase poison damage?
The second:
Does a stealthed character in hindering terrain block LOF to a non-stealthed character directly behind them? I know in open terrain he does, but does stealth in effect 'hide' the character, opening up LOF to characters behind them?
Thanks and sorry for the unrelated questions. Conservation of post.
Poison is not an attack, and does not use any numbers from your dial, so there is no way to roll a critical, or to increase the damage through perplex. That would leave you with the damage of 1 being constant.
The stealthed character makes the line of fire drawn through it's square be treated as blocking terrain, so no. Unfortunately the rustling of the leaves is distracting you enough that you can't see the Hulk behind the bushes.

Stealth only treats LOF that is drawn to that figure as if it passes through blocking terrain. It has no effect on LOF that is drawn to another character. LOF to the character behind the character with Stealth is blocked because the LOF passes through a character base other than the attacker and target.
It's semantics I know, but it is an important distinction when considering LOF to/from big-figs and elevated characters.
Is there a new ruling that states that hovering chars can draw a LOF over grounded chars to make a ranged attack on another char? I read this or something like it on onother post somewhere. Maybe it was soaring chars on hovering chars.

Just for clarity:
1) Soaring characters can not attack or even affect non-soaring characters.
2) "Grounded" characters are defined as characters that are not elevated or soaring. So a hovering character who is not elevated is grounded.
Characters will still block LOF to and from hovering characters.
