Did AOA make any kind of showing at the Megaweekend?
I know a lot of people got their X-men Assembles kinda late, but that seems like such a broken card, was wondering if anyone brought any kind of decks to the Megaweekend that used AOA cards
One person had a decently successful run with an X-Men Assemble deck in Modern. He used that along with bishop, 3 drop wolverine, 4 drop nightcrawler, 5 drop blink, 6 drop mimic, 7 drop wolverine.....it was an intersting build that can be improved upon and streamlined a bit but it went 5-4 i believe as it was.
I played against an X-men Assemble deck in the last round of modern. We were both 5-3 so were were just playing for packs.
He made some play errors (it was late) but I don't think the matchup is good for him because Punisher just caps people so there's not much building up of counters. I think he also missed one of his drops too (4?).
Mobilizing for Blink was a good play though.
I misplayed the match too though, especially on 7. That was almost a wrecking.
i played against an xmen assemble deck in modern sunday
his curve was
1. Blink, exile (dont ask me, i dont know)
2. Bishop, AoA
3. Wolverine, Logan
4. Emma Frost, tits mcgee
5. Blink, AoA
6. Rouge, AoA
Sneak attack is brutal ._.
He was able to copy two-faces activate power and stop me from attacking on 6. I scooped after he team attacked two-face with 2 sneak attacks.
He managed to get 2 X-men Assembles out. With 2 Children of the atom and blink i wasnt able to take control of the game.
A friend has a sick Injustice Gang build that is using Mikail and Lex and Evil Genius to some successes. The deck is crazy powerful and just plain ridiculous to watch do it's thing, but one cog out of place and it falls apart. So it doesn need some fine tuning, but he did play the deck out at the MEgaweekend for at least one of the events.
One of our team members was running the X-men Assemble deck. He didn't get much chance to test that deck out thoroughly, but I think he has a good build. His biggest problem from what I heard at the Mega was that he missed drops.

Mikey? Missed drops killed him against me. He needs to get rid of the 1 drops and replace them either with more characters at higher drops or with draw cards like Ego Gem or Xavier's Institute.
yeah I was going to test out his deck with him this weekend (yeah a bit late, but still) to see if we can improve it a bit. He likes that deck so we'll see what we can do to help him improve it a bit. He has institutes in his deck, and I think he has ego gem also; we use to run them both so I thought he did also.
