I just wanted to wish all of you here on the realms a:
Happy Valentines Day!!!
(ok ok, I know this day is all about love, and doing "couply" things, but I love this game and these forums and thought they deserved some "VALENTINES DAY LOVING")
So, is anyone doing anything nice/special today (within the game or outside it)
As Im lucky enough to be single and not have a date tonight, I thought I might work on a "couples deck" - including things like Superman & Lois Lane, Reed & Sue.
Or make a "Couples Legend" deck.
(yeah Im that sad...)
(If you think Im just being nosey, just tell me to mind my own business - I dont mean to be, Im just trying to spread some of the happiness I feel on these special occasions)
I'm also attempting a 'couples' deck for my blog entry tonight, but haven't had time to even start looking through the cards yet. Blooming University work getting in the way of important things. :p
My couples themed deck is Silver age and based on Ultimate Alliance's "Double Date" team of Black Panther and Storm, Reed and Sue.
I'm not sure how it will work, but it looks like a lot of fun on paper (I did work on this a while back, but it just never went anywhere, but this time I'm hopeful :)
Romance and sex have been replaced with spit up rags and frenzied quickies for the 5 minutes between when I get home from work and when my daughter wakes up hungry.
It's the one day of the year I'm glad to be single, there's far too much pressure on people to make it a 'romantic day' with their partners. Which, from the outside, looks like far too much hassle, when most of the country is trying to do the same thing at the same time. ;)
I'll be "celebrating" by marrying some poison to my daggers, and "spreading the love" in the Arathi Highlands.
Actually, WoW's Valentine's content is pretty fun...and no having to make dinner reservations or buy jewelry. Well, I might buy jewelry, but it'll give me a + to Agility.
Can't get a babysitter for the gdaykids, so it looks like Valentines is limited to an exchange of cards and chocolate... but I gotta say, it's pretty damn wonderful when your six yr old daughter is just so damn thrilled to get a card from you (even if it's not as impressive as the card her mother got... hee...)

Happy V-day to you too!

Well, I'm taking PACE to dinner tonight and she has something really nice that's going to be delivered to her at work today. (I can't tell what it is in case she decides to read the forums today)

And people choose this life. I don't get it.
haha, the kid will get older, it gets to be much more fun. Kids get so much joy out of such simple things and it can be very infectious!
I made my girls cards, and they were so very excited and happy, a card so simple... My best suggestion with kids is get them on a regular schedule both of mine go to bed between 7-8pm giving myself and Kariggi time alone if we are not so exhausted we immmediately fall into bed after them.:p
But yeah, kids are a lot of responsibility and work, hopefully worth it in the end. Besides someone smart has to have kids in order for the human race to continue and not become like the movie "Idiocracy" ! Which is about where I see us going.
The first time you come home from work and your kid jumps in your arms and screams "Daddy!" will negate every diaper and spit-up rag. Definitely worth it in the long run, trust me.
