I have a 3 drop Batman, Founding Member in play and a 4 Drop Wonder Woman, Ambassador of Peace (DCL).
My opponent has a 4 Drop Joker from injustice Gang also (DCL).
He attacks Wonder Woman and in turn they stun each other.
He then proceeds to flip and Injustice Gang Satellite in his resource row in hopes of sending Wonder Woman to the KO Pile.
My question is how do I stop the KO'ing of Wonder Woman by blowing up the Injustice gang satellite with my Batman, founding member?
Do I:
1. Respond immediately when my opponent flips the IG satellite in his resource row and activate batman to blow up the satellite (If I do this can't he just respond to my activation of Batman by activating his satellite thus putting that effect on the chain lastly) or do I
2. Wait for him to activate the IG Satellite then respond to by activating Batman thus putting Batman's effect on the chain last. (If I go with this option will his effect still be on the chain even if the satellite is not there and still KO Wonder woman?)

In the instance you provided there is no way to save Wonder Woman.
Scenario A: Flipping a location doesn't use the chain (if the location has a triggered effect upon being flipped, that's a different story), so your opponent is always going to have the opportunity to put the activation on the chain before you have a chance to respond.
Scenario B: Right, you can respond with Batman, but the effect exists on the chain independent of the source. So the chain would resolve backwards, Batman would replace the Satellite, and then WW gets whacked.
What if the Batman discard puts your hand under the 4-card check needed to KO Wonder Woman? I'm pretty sure that this will be of no consequence, since the Satellite says "with cost less than or equal to" as opposed to "if its cost is less than or equal to" so it only checks that the target is legal at activation. Could someone clarify?
In it says "if its costs is less than or equal to" the effect would resolve, see that the number of cards is not sufficient and not KO her.
However, if it says "target stunned character with cost less than or equal to" than if they character is either not stunned, or doesn't have a cost less than or equal to the number of cards in hand than it is not a legal target. It has the same effect of preventing the KO, but for a different reason [the effect no longer has a legal target, and thus cannot resolve].
The difference being, you cannot use the effect initially if the target is illegal, but in the case of "KO target character if it's cost is less ..." you would be able to target it when it's cost was not less ... in a situation where, perhaps, you discarded 3-drop Joker, to change your hand, in hopes of drawing into a card that would force your opponent to draw some cards.
