If Cable or Domino were stunned, would they recover or KO?

Assuming you control all of the cards (otherwise it makes no sense because Survival of the Fittest states so), then you are the controller of all effects. Thus, you get to choose in what way they get added to the chain at the start of the recovery phase.

So, Domino/Cable recover and get the +1/+1 counter.

the chain would have to start with the survival then add dominos effect at the end of chain, dominos effect would resolve first then suvival would resolve
