The Existential Query regarding Robots and 'Death': Underworld/SB Robo
Concept: Using the Pesto Power idea to sacrifice S/B Robo to New and Improved to make him jump the curve. Given his Boost effect and a BPRD Sig Device, you have an 8+/9+ monster on turn 4 that can't be targeted by opposing effects. Even with just two sacrifices and the Sig Device he's a 12/13 on 4. The reason I'm going with Underworld and not Secret Society is that with Underworld I can put S/B Robo back into the deck and use tutors to find him again. This is fun because 1) he can exhaust to find another version of himself via Bat Signal then blow up to bring the new one into play and 2) It allows me to run search as both functional recursion tek and general tutoring. The deck should be streamlined to a single function: Getting S/B Robo recycled 5 times on turn 4 then dropping a BPRD Sig Device. That means that paying full boost cost on 4, we have 18 ATK/19 DEF Monster that can ready for free. An important use of the tutoring is also to thin out your deck as much as possible. If you tutor your compliment of S/B Robos, and Card Draw barbies out of the deck on turn 3 you can cycle a good amount of your deck, maximizing the 2-3 cards you'll draw for the final push.

I think SB Robot will be a lot more abused than Haywire has been, as he comes with two useful team affiliations, as opposed to 0. Exhausting him for Bat-Signal is ridiculous. Readying him with Teen Supremes is just as ridiculous.
Hope I can hit Hawkeye before you hit your Signal Device.
frank, are you just effing with me at this point? You are, aren't you?

The only Problem with Existential Query is getting the New and Improved by turn 4. The only way to help it along is cycling the deck as much as possible, but it's reaaaaally tempting to run Alfred. Do you think 2x Zarthos and 2x Alfred would be superior to 4x Zarthos? My only real problem with that is when one could actually... you know... DROP alfred and keep him alive until the next turn.
i think he's running zarathos because without maggie sawyer he can't meet the dual affiliation of the robot...zarathos' effect has him gain affiliations of a character you reveal from hand ( i think from hand)...so he will play zarathos...reveal the robot...and next turn be able to meet the dual loyalty
Zarthos makes you return them to your hand. If I don't have a Card Draw Barbie in my hand, though, I can play him and replace 1/1 Maggie Sawyer with a 6/6 Team Superman/Gotham Knights/Underworld Character.
