Good question.

You can't equip an already equipped character unless there is some other reason they can be equipped with more than one equipment.

If you tried to equip PD to an opposing character who was invalid due to already being equipped, PD would just come back to your hand.

You can't even declare the recruit if it's illegal.

And it doesn't do anything to keywords.

I know it's not part of the OP, but it came up briefly at the release, and I figured I'd just drop some free knowledge.

Clarification: It doesn't do anything to JUST keywords. Invulnerability and Evasion stay working, but when the Keyword is spelled out, like Leader or COsmic, it shuts those down.

Yes and no. They retain Cosmic, but the actual Cosmic power is erased. So they keep their counter.

That's what I meant. When a keyowrd power is spelled out, they retain the Bold word, but lose everything after it.
