On August 21st, I agreed to a trade with Deathstrike. He agreed to send first, as per the ref rules.

It's been a month, and not only have the cards not shown up, but he hasn't returned any PMs, and hasn't been on the forums since 9-9-08.

Does anyone know this person? My concern isn't with the cards...I haven't lost anything...my concern is that something may have happened to him.

I would love to find out that Deathstrike was just on vacation in Hawaii or something equally as good...so if anyone knows this person, I would appreciate a reply to this thread or a PM letting me know that he is indeed ok and that there has just been an honest mix up.

I'm not upset...I am concerned, especially since he was going to get the better end of the deal: our trade was my 1x Body Slide and 4x Origin Story for his 1x Invisible Woman Shield Of The Four (foil), 1x Crisis On Infinite Earths and 1x Mr. Freeze, Cold Blooded. (I was feeling generous.)

I am hoping to get some good news regarding this, and then I will be happy to edit and lock this thread.

I had two successful trades with him recently (early and mid august).

I hope it's nothing to serious, Hopefully you'll be able to complete the trade!

Check out his trade thread. Recent posts have another member informing us he has been out of town and the cards he left to send out never got sent. I'm currently waiting on his end of the deal, though I have sent mine already. Last PM I got from him was early Sept around the last time he posted.

I have faith that our problem is being resolved

I had a successful(sp is way off) trade, if I remember correctly, he was a tad slow, but other than that I had no problems.

Six weeks and he still hasn't responded to PMs or sent the cards.

I will give it another 2 weeks before I give a neg ref...but let us be real here: Short of 'I was kidnapped by the mafia during the trial so that my mother wouldn't testify', what reason could someone have that is legit for not responding in six weeks?

He was on the realms October 1, just check his public profile, and he didn't contact ANYONE.

Sorry guys. All cards where sent out as of last Thursday when I got back. I don't expect any of you to fulfill your ends of any ongoing trades, but I have still sent as per all previous agreements. I can only express my regrets that so much time has been taken and I make no excuses for such irresponsibility. I am happy to hear you are alive....seriously.

Once I get the cards from our trade, I will be happy to send out the cards I owe you, and I will be sure to let you know before I send them...plus I always send with tracking, so that number will help you with when to expect them. (in fact the cards I owe you are sitting in front of my monitor right now...all ready to go=)

I hope you get well soon...and thank you for letting us know that you didn't die or just fall off of the face of the Earth. As long as I get my cards from the trade, I will be happy to lock this thread, and to make note that you are NOT a bad trader, but you just had a bad situation befall you.

While I can't speak for anyone else, an apology and acknowledgement of the feelings of others goes a long way in my book. Thank you.

Update:

Deathstrike claims to have sent cards out on 10-2-08. (His post is from 10-7 and says that cards were sent 'last Thursday', which would have been 10-2.)

While he lives in the East, and I am on the West Coast, I still have yet to receive anything...and I am doubting at this point that I will.

If Thursday comes and goes without cards arriving, which would be 3 additional weeks from the date he claims to have 'really sent out this time', I will leave a negative ref for failure to send. I doubt he sent if he doesn't expect anything back as stated in his post...it would be silly to send cards when he already got neg refs from most of us that he neglected to send out to...those refs were earned and would not be changed if the cards 'magically' showed up MONTHS late.

Those who might be involved with him in trades need to be very careful that they do not send first...unless they feel like giving their cards away for nothing.

All cards were sent out, I assure you. Any one who has yet to receive should let me know so that I can get to the bottom of it. Before it was my fault, but know this is just ridiculous.
