Anybody playing X-factor want to post their list here I will post mines later when I get home? What drops do you like in the deck? What plot twist do you play?

It has been doing okay, pretty fun trying to get to eight on a consistent basis.

Why no Mutant Town Messiah or Fearless Leader?

Mutant town messiah just doesn't thrill me. Iceman needs an exhausted character to target, and people always attack Polaris last. Forge and Beast never tend to hang around past turn three anyway. Who are you using it on?

Fearless leader definitely has a bigger upside but I only have one right now and I guess I just don't feel like I need it. What situations has it been a game breaker for you?

I'm just thinking in theory. I don't have my MEV stuff yet so I haven't been able to build. But if you do change those Havok's to M's, I think Mutant Town Messiah would work wonders. Also, Fearless on a Cyclops that is tapped b/c you used Concussive Force to re-ready him and Concussive again just seems sick to me. But as I said I haven't built or played yet so I could be totally wrong.

I came across Mutant Massacre yesterday while trying to make an X-factor deck, and i have to say Im shocked that that card isnt used more often in decks. Using that card against a Hellboy, Hulk, Kang or any non-unique/army based deck just screams game over?
Am I missing something?

Mutant Massacre is not bad but you have to be careful reading the effect.

"As an additional cost to play Mutant Massacre, exhaust a Mutant you control.
Remove target stunned character from the game.
Ongoing: Your opponents cannot recruit non-Army character cards with the same name and version as the character you removed."

To play it, you have to exhaust a Mutant which in VS System is a character with a Mutant Trait (Physical, Energy, Mental). Also it only shuts down Non-unique characters with the same name and version. So you may remove Hulk, Exile but your opponent could still play Hulk, Green Scar.


Also, I think most people are trying to build Modern Age and Mutant Massacre is a Golden Age card.

It seems playing both Pathetic Attempt and Cracking the Case is a little redundant. Cracking the Case seems to be a little better (you can stop opponent's effects targeting their own cards) but it does cost an exhaust and doesn't stop effects that target you. Has playing both been working out for you?

I don't have any cards yet, but I'm considering Xavier's Institute from MVL for the card draw.

Also kicking around a Multiple Man deck.

If I were you, I'd take out the 7 one drops and put more plot twists in. IMO, one drops do nothing unless your deck is rush.

I think i'd rather keep my 7 drop. Since i go to 7 a lot and I tend to not need another 7 drop. Any of suggestions you can come up with ? What do you think is the best for four this deck?

I meant take out all the 1 drops, not the 7.

I'll probably take out the 4 one drops for more Cracking the Case or Optic Blast.

I haven't played much with this build as most of the cards are in the mail from trading, but I think it'll work effectively.

I don't like beast as the main 2 drop. His effect becomes pretty bleh after a while. It becomes harder and harder to make that discard. Why 2 8 drop cykes ? I don't like M as the five drop that's why I went of team. How did you come to the decision on your characters and stuff? What about Rictor made you not want to use him? I'm thinking about cracking the case but I'm not sure about the way I wanted to curve yet so that card may or not be needed. What made you decide to go with Jean > Quick silver ? I've been meaning to put the X-men location in the deck....What do you like about mutant town messiah's ? I've found it a waste......
