I was wondering if people from all over the states could give me an idea (or us) how they see (or know) UDE's other games selling. I've only heard a while back that WoW cards were a big dud and I have no idea how their other games are doing or how they do in other areas. Just trying to get an idea how VS sells compared to their other games.
WoW TCG sells great even though the tournament scene has dwindled. One note about this though... even though Hobby League and Regional-type events are getting the greatest number... the big tournaments like Worlds and Nats still get more players than VS PCs... even the DMFs get better numbers.
WoW Minis are doing well... most local stores are selling through. Once some type of higher level OP is announced (if it already hasn't been)... it will see more play.

I would think the 1-2 punch of Clix and D&D minis announcing their "ends" might make WoW a more attractive game, especially if there is OP attached.
The issue is WOW minis is a terrible minis game. The figures are BEAUTIFUL, and I think that is what would sell it; but at least in Atlanta despite it selling well nobody's actually playing games (you get 3 minis, and they basically run into the center of the board and roll dice; choosing between 1 of 2 abilities. It doesn't have the depth of strategy of any minis game I've ever played; usually the game is pre-determined based on who picked the better mix of 3 minis at the game outset).
Anyway, I will give them props for making awesome minis; but the game could use a lot. Then again, Yugioh sales proves that depth in a game isn't really what people look for :(.
Here in Kansas Yu-gi-oh is selling like crazy. In fact as of late Yu-gi-oh has been out selling Magic @ our local store.
The thing that puzzles me the most about Yu-gi-oh is the fact that it is so popular & yet is really expensive to play competitively. Plus the prizes for competitive play is crap. All of our local players that do tournaments are under the age of 20. How they afford the cards I will never know.
Nobody is playing Wow TCG @ our local store. Our store buys 1 box when a new set comes out & it takes them a few months to sell out.
Yu-gi-oh is unfortunately a "dead game." I haven't sold anything for YGO since Feb.
WoW Mini's... I bought a case of each* and only sold one booster. No matter how much I promote the game, it is a no-go here. (* one case of booster, starter and the new deluxe starter)
WoW tcg is our best selling tcg besides Vs. I just put in an order for one box of each set, and have done that every two weeks for the past six months. Our battlegrounds is every other week, and has between 10-24 players. On the off weeks, they have open play, where they perform Raids, a deck garage, and other open play.
I find it interesting that these 3 games do well differently in different places. I would have expected the same old magic/yugi butting heads everywhere with versus following in behind. Anyone have any speculations as to why this is?
