Is it because they're just into the whole minis thing and don't like card games or is it something else?
I figured that the people who were playing Clix for the superheroes would be all for jumping into VS.
On a semi-related note, has anyone talked to Cyke about finally having a high drop cyclops in the game? I think he said before that's what would bring him back the the game. Does anyone else even remember the guy?
Part of the reason is it's too early. They are all on the band wagon of Saving Heroclix. Now that they feel like it is a cause to fight for, they will be less likely to jump unless it becomes readily apparent the game will not be produced and no one buys the rights to the clix base.
In our store that's exactly where the new players have come from; but we do have a store owner that actually promotes VS extensively. We have about 8 new players now; though many have just built decks out of commons/uncommons that were left over from people's boxes.

keep doing that then rock out for Random Punks for a little till they get the hang then switch over to Modern Age.
I suspect that much like we devoted vs. fans, clix fans are holding out for a brighter tomorrow. Also we would need to be presenting the next tomorrow not the next sorrow for them to jump on board. If we don't get something saying we will carry on, we don't appear to be in any better boat than they. I suspect that if Clix truly dies and we get another lease on life we'll draw some of that base, but if we keep staggering along in the dark, they'll stay on their own sinking ship and wait to see which goes down first.
My friend had the same thoughts when he heard Clix was dying... maybe VS players should give a bunch of their cards to Clix players they know hopefully getting them into VS.
I don't think your going to get many people into VS unless a good amount of time went by where clixer's saw their game wasn't coming back and this game got a new lease on life.
