Just a note about whoever talked about Gambit, Swamp Rat from MVL:
If you run Swamp Rat you should run Riptide on 3. Gambit the 3 drop and Riptide the 2 drop, and then on 4 you could potentially 3CM the 4.
Only problem with swamp rat is that he's only during your attack step and with Lion amongst the lambs he can become pretty amazing and he's very punishing against off curve decks.
No "D.R" but I'm looking at the skeleton of your deck and it looks like you kinda just through together their best legends stuff without any forthought as to how they interact together. My friend and I have built something along the same line but we focused a bit more on gambit(completely). You should try a couple of N.I.F.D's and maybe 2 to 3 messiah complex to get more out of 6 drop gambit. Really the deck handles something like a squadron no hand deck to me.
None taken, the characters were thrown together as a response to the other thread. The Plot Twists were chosen to have maximum synergy with Lion Among the Lambs.
Disciples, Sabretooth, Identity Theft, etc. In a competitive environment, I wouldnt even run 3CM as it's going to be PA'd. To me that card is gravy, if you have 4 useless cards, then go for the 3CM. (Devon get the tables!!!)
ID Theft also helps your Mystique uniqueness, as you can ID steal their drop after a prior turn LAtL.
Mind you...I'm talking theory here, as I have yet to play the deck...lol
I like a gameplan of turn 6 Gambit, Three Card Monte a 5- or 6-drop, Sinister Disciples or Messiah Complex back a character to stun the other biggest character. Under this scheme, Joanna Cargill is the best 5-drop. Additionally, as I'd run 4 Unuscione, 4 Random and 4 Cargill, two or so copies of Underground Resistance can get some use as well. I'd run 3-4 Messiah Complex, 4 Mobilize, 4 Savage Beatdown, 4 Nasty Surprise, 4 Sinister Disciples, 2 Underground Resistance, 4 Unuscione, 4 Riptide, 4 Random, 4 Cargill, 4 Gambit, 1 Mr. Sinister, fill it in with alternate drops for turns 2 and 3 and whatever other plot twists you're interested in. Lion Among the Lambs does seem pretty nice, but I don't want to be stuck relying on drawing it when it's not really a sure thing for turn 4 or 5.

If you can find room for Omnipotence then you don't have to worry about PA there's no reason not to play a card because of the fear of PA.

Drawing into Lions is a problem that I've been having.
Yeah the lion amonst the lambs and identity theft are all to much to depend on given that you have to hit the right characters at the right time. But focusing on 1 character makes the deck a hell of a lot better. Oh and I guess I had a brain fart. Didn't think to put omni in the deck. Alwell, thank goodness for testing. Hoepfully this will pull my friend completly back into the game since he left about a couple years.
Wait so what's your friends build of the deck? You run the no hand theme thing with the messiah complex or fill it in with the mystique or sinister legends stuff?
It runs something like the no hand theme thing using a lot of those mun cards that discard a lot. Here is his run down(to the best of my ability to rememeber):
Tempo x3
(The leech dude) x2
Uniscion x2
Gambit x4
Riptide x4
Sinister x1
Random x3
Gambit x2
Harpoon x1
Cargill x3
Sinister x1
Gambit x2
Sinister x1
Mystique x1
Sinister deciples x3
Blinded by the light x3
Deadly ambush x3
Grudgematch x3
Now I'm fighting dirty x3
Messiah complex 3
3 card monte x4
Invasion plans x3
Arctic base x3
Asgard x2
This is what I think he had before the changes. Deadly ambush will be leaving for nasty surprises and ill tell him to make room for omni(atleast 2).

I think I was the one that suggested Swamp Rat, but this suggestion makes no sense to me. Why would I Riptide the 2 drop? I could as easily attack the 2 drop with any 3 drop that I play right? I need X-Men characters for Gambit so Lady Mastermind and/or Logan make more sense to me.
Riptide is a very nice alternative for swarm decks though. Just wouldn't cut it as my main drop.
