This is an idea I've had brewing for a bit - hoping for good Starjammer stuff as well as seeing good X-Factor stuff. So this curve build would be built something like this:

Among the major benefits of the deck is that it is exceptional while defending; most of the characters have Energize, meaning that the tricks I could play while defending could be downright silly. Though I've considered doing something with Realm of the Mind, Prof X: Keeper of the Mind Gem, Prof. X's Mansion, and Marvel Girl... well, let's just say that that discard deck really hasn't interested me yet. This Summers clan deck has, however.

What defensive and/or stalling tricks would you recommend to add to this Starjammer/X-Factor/X-Men frame? And which balance of characters?

To compliment this, I was thinking of rebuilding my x-men short-curve as a Darkseid's Elite short-curve. Among the things possibly worth including are:

*Hordes of Apocalpis (PT, three attackers get +2 ATK this turn)

This team is good at doing extra stun damage, and burning/being big in general based on opponent's face-down resources. It has a number of ways to make them face down as well. Most of all, I think I like the Female Furies, but that's just for flavor. Since this deck would replace my existing short-curve build, however, I would love building suggestions.
