Hello,

I am new to this creating fantasy cards. I have installed MSE and it came with several nice VS templates and works wonderfully. I am however, impressed with the artwork that everyone else seems to have access to for their sets they work on. One fine example is the fan set DCU. I have seen many other fine examples. I on the other hand, have not found many sites that have much quality to offer (while many can provide artwork, it is not up to what I've seen). Can people with more experience in this give me some tips and hints, sources and help finding art to use in the fan sets I might want to create.

a great tool to search for good art is comicvine.com when this doesnt work I search in googles/Images this take more time.

Where or how does everyone else find theirs?

I download comics and use the scans for mine and occasionally I have to photoshop the scans. If you know how to use Bittorrent you can find some good resources out there.

Where do you get access to the comics to download. Can you subscribe to them in digital form?

I usually scan my images from comic books in my collection. Occasionally, I have to search out an image using WIKI of all places. I usually follow their lead till I can find the best image.

Well if you want to do an anime/cartoon/tv set, just use VLC player to watch the episodes and it can take screen captures.

I'm all about using Deviantart.com and asking artist permission.

Somewhere else no one has mentioned yet is that if you go to Marvel's official site and sign up (its free), you get access to their wallpapers section which has a LOT of marvel art. Some of it is from comics, previous card collections, posters etc..

I've never followed DC too much so I'm not sure if their official site has any art or not?
