Tournament 2 - 4-1 took 9th after 5 rounds of swiss, was pissed about this
Week 4 -
Tournament 1 - 4-1 - 1-0 in Top 8 Split in top 4 cuz it was midnight.
All my lose's except the one loss I had in week 4 were all because of a misplay in like round 4-5, in Week 4 he just opened the nuts both games including a double whirlwind in game 1.
So this deck im very confident with, it plays amazingly. any dead hand I can play out of and havent had a deck that has been more consistant then this deck has.
Key Cards to the Deck
Machina Gearframe
This guy is the heart and soul of the deck, he is what makes the deck to me. He pretty much allows for big plays to happen, is a great top deck, and just win games. He is an amazing card and is something I hope to draw opening hand constintley.
Scrap Recycler
This card an be explained by one card, it is AMAZING. This card is what i replaced Pot of Avarice with in my deck, Pot of Avarice was a dead card majority of the time in my hand, and then i re read this card and was amazed on how perfect it would be. its a Foolish Burial and a mini Pot of Avarice all in one, even if I draw it in my first hand its still good cuz I can normal summon it and send a Machina Fortress with it to the GY. Card is an awesome tech.
Blackwing - Gale of the Hurricane
This card is amazing in the deck as well, it allows for killing stardust which can be a problem with the deck, but also allows for the synchro summon of Black Rose Dragon or Ancient Fairy Dragon, great think about bout both of them is they both allow for the destruction of Geartown. If I am holding limiter removal and feel like I can go for game, I can otk with summoning Gale and synchroing with a gadget or gearframe for BRD and blowing up the field, then bringing out a a AGGD with the effect of gearframe, attacking and in damage step using limiter removal for 6000 damage to my opponetts lifepoints. If I feel the threat of Starlight Road then I will go for Ancient Fairy Dragon, and usuing the effect to destroy a field spell card, thus allowing for a AGGD to come out!
Geartown
I play geartown as a bluff not as an important portion of the deck, if I have geartown out on the field its mainly for my opponett double thinking about playing heavy storm! Another great thing about geartown is being able to use the second ability of just tributing off a monster for a Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon, perferbaly a green gadget, but a 3000 monsters that my opponett cant activate any S/T for while I attack with the AGGD is a good monster to have on the field
Limiter Removal
Limiter is what helps with the OTK, it allows for 6000 AGGD, 5000 Machina Fortress, 3600 Machina Gearframes, and a range of 2800-2400 of Gadgets, I find myself using it as a defense also, if my opponett only has 1 monster on the field and attacks my gadget/gearframe, I can activate limiter removal killing my opponetts monsters and allowing for a swarm of fortress's next turn.
Scrap-Iron Scarecrow
This card is the MVP of my traps, it helps a lot with Gladiator Beast as they tend to have just one monster on the field! Also helps with portecting my LP for a turn and allowing me to set up for a big play, honestly I have to thank Paul Blair for the idea as he mentioned it to me one day at local and amazed me by how good it was
Match-ups - Machina Gadgets V.S.
Quickdraw Synchron - This deck ive only faced twice, but to me seems like it needs some turns to set up, so pretty much all i have to do is swarm as fast as I can with fortress's and gadgets and attack before they get the drill warrior loop going.
Blackwing - This is by far the hardest matchup I have, pretty much just trying to keep Fortress on the field and playing around Ickarus Attack are the key for the match up. When I play against BW I have to play flawless, no misplays and I should have a win. Side deck is key to this also.
Gladiator Beast - With as much defense and monster destruction I have in this deck, in all honesty GB are a really really easy match up, all you have to do is play around War Chariots or try to bait em out, GB are a match up I actually look forward to facing.
Zombies - If someone is playing Zombies, usually they are playing Skill drain with it, so this deck can give me a run for the money, but it really comes down to who can get advantage first, which I should have no problem with, Zombies are my second hardest match up but a deck im not worried about at all
Lightsworn - This is another easy deck to play against, I should have enough defense to ether deck em out or I should be able to swarm faster especially with Lumina at 1.
Flamevell Varients - With these guys its Machina Fortress that wins me games, it get rids of all the synchro monsters that Flamevell make, and Dimensional Prison and Bottomless Trap Hole along with Scrap-Iron Scarecrow allow for easy defeat on Flamevell Firedog.
Synchro Cat - I can beat this deck with the side deck, I honestly havent lost a match against Synchro Cat, siding in 2x Nobelman of Crossout and Ceasefire has won me a lot of games! This deck is definietly one I am highly favorable in.
Machina Gadget - The Mirror Match, this is honestly a 50/50 depending on the varient, if its a straight machina gadget deck - all the gear town deck i feel my odds have gone up to a 75/25. This is also won by the Side Deck.
Rogue Decks - All of the rogue decks or original idea someone comes up with I feel I have a VERY good chance beating, so far in testing at variuous locals, and tournaments I have not lost to a Rogue Deck yet.
In Tournament Play Wins = 33 Losses = 7 With Machina Gadget
or maybe just the D-prison to make it 40 cards even.
Neither D-prison or Scarecrow are chainable, but D-prison has a better effect. So one vs the other D-prison wins. If you add in a T-roar and run 41 cards it can actually protect you from bigger attack than just one monsters, still is very good against GB, and its chainable.
The Gear compo is great but I can't help but feel it would not always be helpful unless you played more Gears. For example throw in a A.G. Beast and/or Engineer, great effects (Beast negates the effects of monsters he destroys and Engineer destroys a spell or trap when he attacks) and with Gear town out you wouldn't need to tribute for either one.

The only flaw is d-prison is good for one attack and t-roar is good for 1 turn, scrap-iron scarecrow is good for multiple turns, glads are easy to beat w/o a doubt, thanks for your input but for now the scarecrows have been working amazingly

If this was a geartown deck id consider other AG but since its a Machina deck, im only using AGGD for fortress majority of the time. I run geartown as a bluff and it prevents my opponent from playing heavy storm, which in turn allows me to set more defense
come on guys i leave tmw, i gave long descriptions on why i run certain cards, i gave results i need this to be perfect cuz jason is doing deck profiles on the 6 main decks right now
and i messaged him on fb and he wants to give me a deck profile butg doesnt have the final say yet, so i gotta meet with him on saturday morning to find out and see.
So any tweaks I should do or is this deck ready to go?
i mean what about instead of scare crows, you do dust tornados? or like do one more d-prisons and a royal opression something to change it up and possibly shut down late game decks.
P.S. oh and good luck a buddy of mine will be there i dont know what he decided to run i think it was that weird assault mode deck, but anyway Good Luck and Enjoy
You don't seem to get how well Scrap-Irons work in this deck.
And replacing the Scraps with Dust Tornadoes would be stupid. You lose defense for more offense....not a good idea. Gadgets aren't going to care too much about the backrow.
