2 Caius notwithstanding, I would drop Soul Exchange in favor of One for One. You can swarm with Germs, swap one out for Squirmer while loading the Grave for Necrofear and Dark Creator
Swap out Gorz here for Tragoedia. Again you have another way to dump Fiends into the Graveyard. You also have a wide range of levels in your deck so Trag would give you some theft options.
Im not sold on 2 Vortex either. Good effect, but Im used to seeing conservative players that wont overextend their Field. You also want to protect Creator &/or any stolen beaters. Try adding a 3rd Smashing Ground.
The last Vortex is still the most expendable. Since Solemns aren't an option, how about My Body as a Shield?
Personal choice here but I prefer Karma Cut these days over Compulsories.

Oh and way to go on rockin the Fiends!
I could definitely go for my body as a shield especially since I have one lying around here somewhere. I wish I hadn't literally given away all my cards when I quit a few years back. I only kept fairy Agents/Mudora and Levia.
I've been seeing a lot of lightning being a waste in the deck. I've been doing a lot of discarding one lightning to use the other one. Then on top of that half the time, I'm killing just one monster.
Tragoedia, I love it, but right now its a bit pricey. I'll keep my eye on it. Gorz stays in its place for now.
I'm not a fan of discarding for 3 karma cuts. I used to run the only one I have though, but bailed on it for mind control. Right now I don't have a 3rd smashing but maybe 2 fissures to replace the vortexes. One for one sounds like a good idea.
Soul Exchange was me at 39 cards trying to come up with a 40. Let me edit my deck to reflect some changes.
I'd also consider 2 Necrofears and one Caius but, I have getting the necrofears too early that way. But with germs it might be worth trying out, since they're a recent addition. And it would be cheaper for me since right now I have 3 necrofears and 1 caius at my disposal.
Also if I had any synchros I'd fit a Sinister Sprocket in somewhere.
I'm debating removing the Armageddon Knights for some combination of the following Wall of Illusion/Archfiend Soldier/Mystic Tomato. Your thoughts?
Armageddon Knight is what my compatriots call a Corruptible. It may not actually be a Fiend, but it fits the Fiend theme (especially Necrofear) to a TEE. With Newdoria and Squirmers you already are dependent upon battle triggers. A.Knight gives you the deck thinning, graveyard dumping, floater with a decent ATK which this deck needs.
Synchro monsters are definitely worth investing in. They are the best thing to come along since Metamorphasis got banned. But remember that you can still use Necrofear, Brain Control, and Mind Control as a way to enter that aspect of the game until you get your own built up. Still, don't give up on Trag. Im looking at ebay and they're available under 10 easily.

I've have to stop looking on toywiz always for cards, lol.
What do you think is better? 2 Necrofears 1 Caius or 2 Caius 1 Necrofear?
You've got enough of the right effects to support 2 Necrofear but I would probably go for 2 Caius. An early Necrofear is dead weight in a deck that has difficulty staying on the field. What you have going is very dependent upon reacting to an opponent being aggressive. If they slow the pace down to gather resources for a kill, Caius will allow you to be more proactive in pressing their game to your pace.
btw, Night Assailant is starting to look out of place. You dont have any other Flip effects to return and you have tons of other monsters that you like to set. Im assuming it worked well with Ryko, but now that its gone, Assailant isn't as cohesive. Perhaps look at that one next for a replacement card.

Lol, it was hardly useful to bring back ryko either. For some reason I was only able to get ryko back like 1 out of 10 times I discarded assailant for an effect. I might put Wall of Illusion in for Assailant. Wall is quite a pest. Usually they'll attack it face-down lose LP and have the monster bounced back. Often its the monster they just summoned.I'm thinking Reaper might be expendable too.
Off the top of my head I have one Book of Moon and two Enemy Controller if you see somewhere they might be better than something I have in the deck.
Thoughts on Mist Archfiend? Seems like he can be useful, but mostly as summoning him to get the final blow. Seems almost not worth it if that's the case. But the card sure looks cool, lol.
I'm going to play test the following on yvd later today. -Reaper and -Assailant and +Hiro's Shadow Scout +Junk Synchron. Sure, he's not a fiend but he would have potentially 4 level 2s to combo for a 5 star Synchro.
I might be able to get DAD next month on the cheap from a friend. I don't know if he is worth adding to this deck. It might take away from the focus on fiends, so I don't know. He just seems like something easy to drop in with so many darks.
I'm concerned that although the CyDras are good for bottomless and swarming the field a bit that they might be negatively impacting the deck.
the only way to find out about the Cyber Dragons is to replace them and test.
As for DAD, if you can get it, get it. Im not the purist I once was. DAD fits the Dark Fiends so much better than the old Chaos monsters ever did. Heck, if you really dont like it, DAD is still one of the best trade bait cards out there. If I had one to run, I would. If I had one to trade, I'd probably be able to get just about every Fiend I have missing from my collection for that one card alone.
After play testing a bit yesterday I found that I didn't miss the CyDras, but I did lose. I played a deck I hadn't played before. It was a frogmonarch deck or something like that. I thought my deck was pest, lol. I'll be trying out Byser Shock today though I can't imagine he'll be that useful. It's still worth exhausting all options.
Byser seems out of place here. To support it well, you'd really have to overhaul the deck. Im thinking 2 Tomatoes, level 2 & 3 tuners, Book of Moon/Eclipse, and who knows what else. Whatever you can do to avoid actually wasting a Normal Summon on Byser Shock.
you know what may work with Sangan, Newdoria, Squirmer, and Germs is Creature Swap.

YESSS, I forgot all about swap. Byser Shock turned out not to be "bad" just useless. I couldn't bring it out without using a tomato and it being on my opponents turn. It was cool to use him though just as WTF type of thing, but definitely not a useful guy for my deck. Junk Synchron+Germs though works fantastic.
Haven't tried out Creature Swap yet, but does anyone see somethign worth taking out for an Allure of Darkness? I don't know if I really need it, but if I could easily plug it in then I will.
So deck has a slightly new look too it. But I'm having this debate-
Right now the deck is maining 2 Archfiend Soldiers, but I don't know if that's the "right move"
I definitely need the offense out of a 4 star since most of my <=4 stars are control based or speed based. So here are my considerations and why.
Mad Archfiend-
Pros-
1800atk
Trample
Can go to defense to save LP is he's attacked by a big monster
Dark
Fiend
Cons-
Defensive effect means Ryko can run over him
Terrorking Archfiend-
Pros-
2000atk
Dice effect can negate some effects
Negates effects from things it kills
Dark
Fiend
Nice looking card
Cons-
Can't be Normal or Flip Summoned without another Archfiend being present
800 LP per standby phase
Archfiend Soldier-
Pros-
1900atk
Dark
Fiend
Cons-
Vanilla
and a surprise monster I guess
Kycoo the Ghost Destoryer-
Pros-
1800atk
Removal effect hurts many many decks
Dark
Cons-
Not a fiend (but I would already have at least 16 monsters that Necrofear can remove to hit the field)
I could also mix and match. But I don't know who to go for. My brain says Kycoo, my heart says Terrorking, but I don't know and would love some advice.
Also Divine Wrath vs Royal Oppression which would be a better main decked card?
You are thinking about each of those monsters for their individual worth. Perhaps a better approach would be to address how each one addresses the kinds of decks you will be facing or how they help cover the types of things the rest of your deck is weak at addressing.
If your deck is about control and pacing the opponent, then I dont see any point in Archfiend Soldier. Unless you are going to focus more on Stygian, I also don't see a need to be pure Fiend. Besides, if you are looking for simple beaters what's wrong with Slate Warrior, Giant Orc, or Goblin Elite Attack Force?
As for Creature Swap, I'd drop 1 Fires of Doomsday for 1 CS and then drop Nobleman of E for Nobleman of Crossout.
