I know this is an old post but if you still got this deck and would like to improve it with some of of the newest car set you need something other than basic mana in there
maybe some
misty rain forest
terramorphic expanse x4 could also help you get the color you need at that moment

planwalker could also be used in this
maybe some jace , the mind sculptor or wildspeaker
I know the jace are expensive but if you wait until the new block comes out the price will go down like crazy
since you play blue you could always use some counter spell like

cancel
power sink
remove soul
mana leak
lay bare
dismal failure


are all exellent counter spell ,all pretty cheap money wise and mana wise

you could always get some summoning trap to make sure your creature spell dont get countered as well.

lotus cobra could help you get your mana out fast
primeval titan will not only help with your mana to but also is 6/6 beast that will crush anything in his path
you should really put some
landafall in there
such as
explore
just a common but with such a effect combined with lotus cobra and primeval titan , you can win on turn 5 easily.

but he first thing you gotta fix are those mana
you really need something other then basic lands , yavimaya coast could also help you

most of these card migh seem expensive but if you wait until the new block comes out all of these will drop like grapefruit since alot of people play limited the demand for all of these will go down so will the price

the newest block really is impressive so far.
