Domain: Mountain Pass-Figure with the [horse shoe] speed type fail to break away on die results of 1-3. Reduce the speed values of warriors with the [horse shoe] or [wheel] speed type by one half, rounded up. No figure can use the double-time or surge proficiency. Mountain Pass is canceled by the Blasted Lands terrain domain.
Army:
Tythania Stormbringer-144pts
wielding: Tome of Hope
Heirramon Host-20pgs
Arcane Sight-4pgs
This army is pretty straight forward. Tythania flys solo blasting whatever comes within range. There are 2 formations containing 1 Regal Skymage and 2 Frost minions each. Launch a grand attack on some poor formation or two, and cast Heirramon Host. The Domain should handle the possibilit of a heavy counterstrike, considering it nullifies surge. Also Tythania doesn't have to worry so much about being tied up if she's on the ground because the domain also nullifies double-time.
The EL fanboy in me is doing somersaults out of sheer joy! Things could get hairy, however, if you ran into something like Khan Rava, or another high-powered Bounder that could rival Tythania and deal some serious hurt to your relatively slow (10" tops) melee guys. Sky Dragons could similarly hurt, as they out-Charge out, and you no longer have DT to tie them up.
Yeah, I considered that. Tythania can take a pretty mean shot and be able to shoot back just as hard, if not harder and I think I would want to keep the healer behind her should it actually happen. If something like an EL skydragon does happen to rear its ugly head, I tend to keep all of my figures well within striking distance of each other. A MC/C might be able to hit 1 guy hard or 2 figs not quite so hard, but all my figures have an easy break, other than the Acolyte, and I'll have 5 (max possibly 8 if I choose to bust out Heirramon host) actions to play with worth of pure charge figures, all with an attack value of 10 (plus gang-up). 2 good hits from these guys should do away with most dragon riders.
Heck, I even made sure the Acolyte has a little bit of oomph at range with Ratheal's Hammer.
