]We saw Anaheim these past few days come down to a final between Gravekeepers and the unlikely Gemini-Alius Deck that ended up winning, with an attack from penguin soldier no less. It was mostly dominated by LSS with a healthy scattering of fish, gravekeepers, and some rag-tag GB and various plant builds.
I am in NO WAY taking credit for this deck other than I had some/most of these cards in my current deck build, however the credit for the proportions goes to KC and the OG, KC thank you for the inspiration.

After reading all the feature match material I found one Andres Ochao who topped 32 with zombie/chaos, but couldnt glean much, other than I don't believe he ran Debris. So here are my questions to all of you.
What does everyone think of Pot of Avarice with this deck?
What does everyone think of the monster ratios (trooper, z master, beast of the pharaoh, the lights, goblin zombie, reaper?)
And do you think a deck with 26 monsters is the better way to go with just 3 decree?
KC if you read this, again thank you, and please let me know any thoughts you have and why you made some of your ratio choices.
Any help is needed and appreciated, thank you all.

My gut is going against Pot of Avarice here. I like it in Dragunity since the deck fills the Graveyard so fast and lives and dies with Dux. Here I think you want Monsters in the Graveyard more often than not.

The only other Light monster that's jumping out at me is Paladin of the Cursed Dragon. It's effect really doesn't matter but it is another beater, it's Light and it's a Zombie.

26 monsters seems high to me in a deck that doesn't have a ton of drawing/searching and can't really rely on monster effects like Lyla, Judgment Dragon and the rest of the lot.
Why no Giant Trunade? Personally I wouldn't run an unchainable Trap like Mirror Force with Triple Royal Decree. I've been playing around with Forbidden Chalice in decks that I main Decree in. Worst case it gives me an attack boost, best case I shut down one of my opponent's effects. In this case it would come down to running Chalice or Effect Veiler, Veiler may be a better call here.
Thanks for the reply Den, eighteen views and one reply, I applaud you sir.
Ive heard with some of these new chaos decks they run only 5 lights with three sorcerers. One of my teammates runs D Alchamist in his zombie build to help mill. He also runs RfDD and x2 BfDD so I figured I would stay away. I may put a paladin in the side seeing as how I have absolutely no side at all. I'm gonna test it a bit tonight and then come back to you with perhaps a more solid response.
And thanks for catching that trunade, I new i was missing something.
Looks bloody solid.I'd preference call a second Card Trooper, but that's just me.Three Book/Life seems uneeded with only eight Zombies, but it may work better than I think.Pot of Avarice is iffy I guess.I run one in my Chaos build and it's usually milled off or drawn late-game.
Here are my suggestions: [I just noticed you were missing Monster Reborn!]
-1 Book of Life
-1 Mirror Force
+1 Monster Reborn (oversight?)
+1 Giant Trunade/PoA/defensive spell
(I have a Chaos deck in my signature that you may or may not want to look at;it may be of some help)
yeah testing originally didn't seem to really need the third book. That was an oversight. Thanks for catching it exxod. I was actually considering dropping a z master for a second trooper. I'm not sure if I need the extra milling or bringing monsters back more.
I do want to fit trunade in, however I'm unsure if its MF that should come out? What about a gold sarc?
I will playtest tonight and try those changes out. Thanks a lot both of you!
edit: also I would like to try and fit a second reaper in, but am unsure of whether to bump the count up to 23 or drop something. Any suggestions?
edit: side decking (VERY open to suggestions here!)
1 card trooper
1 spirit reaper
1 call of the haunted
1 torrential tripute
2 puppet plant
2 chained dissapearance
2 bottomless trap hole
1 PWWB
1 beast of the pharaoh
1 chaos sorcerer
1 pot of avarice
1 gold sarc
also what does everyone think about a possible A/D changer either as a tech or mained? with all the milling this does, it's a light, and add it to glow up bulb/ effect veiler summoner would give access to formula synchron?
Spells: 12
2 Book of Life
1 Charge of the Light Brigade
1 Dark Hole
1 Foolish Burial
1 Monster Reborn
2 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Giant Trunade
1 One for One
1 Allure of Darkness
1 Burial from a Different Dimension
Traps: 7
1 Mirror Force
1 Trap Dustshoot
2 Bottomless Trap Hole
1 Torrential Tribute
1 Call of the Haunted
1 Return form a Different Dimension
I would like to cut the monster count, yet at the same time, i don't know if 4 lights for two sorcerer will work. I'm thinking perhaps
-chaos sorcerer
-ryko/lyla
which would leave me with a single sorcerer in there, and can't be sure how much I will see it, or how much use I will have with Burial from DD with only plague and mezuki constantly removed
on the other hand perhaps just dropping one goblin zombie or the pyramid turtle, they both search, and i feel with the rykos, i don't need that many cards to play facedown.
I think you would be fine with 2 copies of Chaos Sorcerer. Three seems overkill to me, sure you will draw it more often but it's also more likely that you'll have a dead copy in your hand early in the game.
It looks good, but there's still no Monster Reborn...O.o Are you not including it on purpose?
A third Sorcerer doesn't seem needed here, like Den said;and I just wouldn't trust 3 Sorcerers in a deck that has 5 Lights, even if the deck can mill well.
I'm unfamiliar with the currently used sides, but here's a sketch of one, mostly taken from your earlier post:
Side Deck: 14
1 Tragoedia?
2 Cyber Dragon?
2 Puppet Plant
1 Spirit Reaper
1 Monster Reborn (if not mained...)
1 Giant Trunade
1 Call of the Haunted
1 Torrential Tribute
2 Bottomless Trap Hole/Comp Evac Device
2 Chain Disappearance/Comp Evac Device
1 ?
I'm not familiar with the current siding tech,so this side may not be very effective...but I thought I'd give it a shot, since you've only a day left until the tourney and you haven't posted an updated side! =P
If I had a Trag, I would probably have it mained. Unfortunately I do not have one, I have part of the side deck all set up. I haven't really seen consistent staples for the side deck this time around
NKO- thanks a lot for dropping in with that info. I hadn't thought of catastrophe. Kinetic I had forgotten about. What is the reasoning for Crow is that to deal with plants in general, darksoul?
