Help with the faction abilities: to use, or not to use? (CJF in particular...!)
I'm a new player to this game - though I played a bit a few years ago.
I've decided to play Bannson's Raiders, and Jade Falcon (mostly compliments of winning two large lots on ebay!). Then I read about JF's faction abilities in the AoD ruleset. I posted a question about those abilities in the rules section, and found that the faction abilities were replaced by "faction pride" cards, but that some JF 'mechs (from AoD, Firepower, and Annihilation) were more expensive for what's on their dial, given that they had the three AoD special abilities tacked on.
So this brings me to my strategy/tactics question: do you simply not play with JF mechs from AOD/Firepower/Annihilation (I've got quite a few of those), or do you play with the faction abilities, or do you houserule (and what is your houserule?)? I'd like to make sure my BR units aren't going to walk all over the JF ones unless I get this right...
