Well a new ban list had posed a bit of problems for this deck. Losing Chaos Sorcerer should have meant that this deck was going to go out of existance. But some quick thinking made me realize this is just a new beginning for this deck. Lightray Sorcerer is a far cry from his Dark counterpart, but he will have to fill in his shoes. The hardest part was finding a light removal engine that would also be offensive enough to keep this deck up to par while conserning rescourses. Cyber Eltanin is just that. Removing all my light machines from my graveyard lets me make Lightray Sorcerer become active very quickly. Cyber Valley also aids in this attempt at it has replaced Marshmallon as a means of stalling, but also lets me dig through the deck a bit faster than I used to and it also combos well with Dimensional Alchemist. I would love to throw in a second Lightrary Sorcerer, but I need to test his consistancy before I add in another.
Now for my side deck. It has made a few changes. I just aquired Maxx C. I was maining them all last week, then the list happened and I had to change. So they went to the side to make room for what I needed in the main deck. Super Poly is in the side now to combat what I think will be the best deck of the format, HEROS. They are very consistant and not really hindered by the few cards they had that got hit. With Escurado coming out I have seen a large jump in the number of HERO decks I have been seeing. Super Poly is the best out as I can use 2 or 3 of their own monsters and turn them into something I can use. If I see 3 Heros, I know they are going for Shock Master and that card auto-wins against this deck. I needed an out and Super Poly is just that. Heratics are another deck that will survive this list. REDMD may have gone to 1, but the deck can survive easily without it. It only takes away their Gustaph Max play. Heratics always get 5 Dragons. Super Poly eats them all and gives me a Five Head. The meta may not shape up exactly like this, but its what I am anticipating.
Knock this deck if you wish, but 24 1st place finishes, 5 1st place split finishes and 1 2nd place finish out of 30 tournaments entered doesn't lie that this deck is more than a force to be reckoned with.
In all honesty, I dont need Allure. All I am going to be doing is trading 1 Dark monster for another. Sure it lets me draw and makes Alchemist active, but its not essential. On the flip side running another spell also makes early Alchemist less effective as there is a slightly higher chance you can miss with it. I know that only a total of 6 spells/traps should mean in always hits a monster with it effect. That is far from the case. I limit my spells and traps to what I 100% need to deal with the format. This deck has its own "brand" of speed. Allure, while it is very good for this deck, I dont find essential to the process.
Thunder King I will never main deck. Ever. Here is why. I want all my monsters to more or less replace themselves, give me pluses, or set me up for bigger plays. Though Thunder King is a Light and is very, very good, alot of decks can get around him with ease with cards such as Grapha, Dragonfly/Hornet, Grandmaster of the Six, etc. Bubble Beat and Wind Ups are the most hurt by Thunder King since if there is no Stratos/RotA/E Call for Bubble Beat, that can shut down the entire deck and Wind Ups lose there first XYZ and search from Factory. I side 3 Thunder King because he is very good, but I just have never liked him in the main. I hate using Normal summons unless that summon is going to take a card off the field or net me cards. Touguide, Sangan, Night Assaliant, Alchemist, Ryko and Cauis all do that. Reaper keeps himself alive and can hit the hand so he fits as well. The few left overs of Honest, Plaguespreader and Tasuke Knight all have there own obvious reasons to be played so they fit the bill as well.
I just updated the decklist to show what I am currently running.
Well my time with the game has come to a halt. I just dont have the time anymore. If I did I would be playing this every weekend at my locals. But ever since I got my new job, my free time is very limited. Unlike my bank account that has gotten a very needed boost. I find it funny that now that I have the money to afford any card I want, I no longer have the time in order to put them to use. Currently I want to buy a Blood Mefist for this as I can actually afford it and for bragging rights, but I know its a total waste of money.
I do need an opinion for something on this deck though. DO I NEED MIST WURM? Yes I can make it in various differnt ways, but would its spot in the extra deck be better filled by another XYZ or Synchro? The 3 on my mind are Leviathan Dragon, Acid Golem and Thought Ruler Archfiend. Any thoughts?
I would probably go something like -1 BRD -1 Mist Wurm +1 TRA +1 Leviathan.
I'm going to keep BRD, but I am dropping Mist Wurm. I never need it. I tried out Thought Ruler. I tried out Leviathan. Both were just ok. But I found a unlikely card that I am using now. Submersible Carrier Aero Shark. 100 damage for each card I have banished. That adds up quick in here. A 1900 body as well makes it decent. I only use it if it will give me game. But having that option is good enough reason for me.
Haha, a monster-heavy Chaos deck: just what I like! If I had my cards with me, I'd try it out.
Only thing I might change is 1-2 Card Troopers, since they provide some attacking power and net a card, but then again, Trooper is one of my favorites, so I may be bias.

Card Trooper is a great card for the deck. I love the drawing aspect of it and the milling, but I dont like that it is an Earth and not a Light like Ryko. Plus Ryko is an out to this decks 2 arch nemesis. Archlord Krystia and Fossil Dyna. Card Trooper at least kills the Fossil Dyna. You could very well try it out and see how it works. It might be better than Ryko in some instances. I might have to find to ultra rare ones to try out. lol. I'm a rarity ##### now.
I would only suggest siding Maxx C. Only because in the main, where I can see some benefit, Inzektors are about the only deck that you'd weaker against if you did. And we all know how that deck becomes a quick 1 for 1 nightmare. Other than, I don't really see much you could change that you've not already addressed.

I was thinking along the same lines. I opted for Card Trooper over Ryko in my Chaos build for three reasons. One, I play my build as aggressively as I can, so Trooper fits me better; two, I use 2-3 Smashing Grounds, making Ryko less needed in terms of killing Krystia/Fossil Dyna; and three, I'm just bias in favor of Trooper(the free draw is a plus, too). I hear you on that: I have become what I swore not to become...
Thank you Konami.... you killed my Chaos Sorcerer. But that doesnt mean that this deck is dead. I have already rebuilt and restreamlined this deck. I have the new build posted below.
