I have been trying to find a deck that doesn't match what my sons use (Dark World, Lightsworn/Dragons, and Agents). This is what I have built:

Obviously Barkion and Beast would be ideal for the extra deck. I have played this deck quite a bit and when you get the esper girl loop going, with the witches and wizards the field can get ugly for your opponent in a hurry.

Thoughts?

I've been thinking about trying out Psychics for a while now but I'm missing a lot of the "new" cards. How has this been working out for you?

After giving one son the dark world deck I had built, another son the Lightsworn/Dragon deck and my third son the Agents deck, psychics were really all that was left without going crazy stupid and spending a lot of money. The good thing is that I have had three difficult decks to play against. Given that the power cards are your synchros with psychics, you really have to manage yourself. However, a well timed witch/esper combo and you quickly have either magical android or gaia on the field. It is important to get that first synchro to the grave so that Ultimate Axon Kicker can be summoned. It can only be killed in battle so it will take a fairly boss monster to do so. Grapha and Hyperion need help to get over it. Judgement Dragon can, but a well timed torrential or bottomless should be able to eliminate it given the new rules. The key is to find the right make up of spells and traps. Like I said before the key are the synchros and xyz's so having spells that allow you to search are imperative. The one thing I like is that I did not have to spend a ton to get this deck. This most expensive cards were 10 to 12 dollars. Many of the cards are commons. Obviously this deck type took a hit losing mind master and the sick loop he could bring. However, bringing back monsters from the grave on the next stand by phase is nice to and can be helpful in getting out key synchros. I think if I totalled it all up I've spent 60 on this deck.The key thing now are to get Naturia Beast and Barkion as their effects provide this deck with a little protection.

Interesting deck line up. looks sound in its creation. I think my little fun deck would be a decent challenge for it. Would love to see if a level 2 could trounce your ultra axion.

Not really sure because I don't know which level 2 you are referring to. I have since added a starter deck yugi compulsory activation device and a tribute to the doomed. I hammered my son's dark world deck three times in a row last night. Looking forward to today as my dark world son and I are off to a Galactic Overlord pre release tourney.
