Truthfully I haven't played or thought about this deck in years but I've had an urge to play Summoner Monk and this seemed like a fun place to try it out. This is what a put together for a rough draft this morning. I'm expecting to have issues with it that will need to be refined. I do like the idea of playing Malefic Stardust Dragon here so I may try that out to see how it works. It's another easy way to protect Ancient City.
Cut the traps down to just one torrential and main Malefic Stardust. Looks good otherwise. Remember CBs go to grave when used for xyzs so can fuel your blessings fast if u go 41 add a copy of abundance. Plz r/f the deck in my sig
You can cut both Amythest cat for a second blessing and abundance if you don't wanna go 41 as you don't need cat for the OTK. I personally like 42 card decks especially in decks that run so many multiples like CBs and my favorite volcanics. It evens out your draws that's why fifth gadget players(still the best variant of gadgets IMO especially since you summon 3 shock ruler and win) play 45 cards. It's just math. Drawing multiples of any monster that's not effect veiler or honest is bad. S/n honest should go to 2 as should kulat.
Not sure what I want to do here yet but I do agree that Malefic Stardust Dragon is a good idea. I'm worried about Crystal Abundance being another dead draw in a deck full of them, but I guess that's part of the reason that I added Card Destruction here.
I need to find one more Ancient City, I have no idea when I got rid of a copy.
I completely understand not being a fan of abundance but I'd definitely add a second blessing. It's the card that makes sure you always 2 CBs backing you up meaning you are sure to have the damage reducing effect of City live at all times. Drop Heavy for the 3rd City. Side the heavy. You need to keep 3-4 backrow at all times for your deck to work properly. That means the chances of you actually wanting to heavy is very low b/c 90% of the you'll go minus because you can't chain anything, unlike my volcanic deck I heavy and chain everything so lose their backrow and take damage. Game 2 no one will see it coming. Also i think shrink will be better than Enemy Controller in here because your monsters are so tiny plus it gives the deck chainable monster destruction.
P.S. Please check my volcanic deck I made a suggestion in my last post on the thread and i need to know what you think.
