Well its been awhile. I haven't been keeping up with the game much recently. Its gotten far too stale for me. Every format some archtype deck auto pilots its way to an otk and tier 1 status. Its pretty boring. But this is what I have going. Of course, as always, its a Chaos varient.

Tsukoyomi is about the only thing I liked about this past ban list. It opened up a Mask/Threatening Roar loop. After Chaos Sorcerer wrongfully got hit in the ban list Ryko became useless to me. Milling meant I could be milling what very few boss monsters I have left. So adding in something that gave me something back in return became my quest. Mask of Darkness seems to fit the bill very well. I can see Gorz becoming and issue here with the conflict of having a back row, but I also dont know what its like to not run Gorz. I always have and probably always will. I would like to stream line this a little more. Its 45 cards, which isnt an issue, but I would like to get it down to 43. Gorz and Book of Moon seem to be the weak links, but also are very helpful. Any thoughts?
Update: Gorz and Book really dont hinder this deck at all. 45 has been very consistant. My biggest weakness so far is dealing with Spellbook Tower since its a free +1 that this deck just can't handle. Also I added my side deck.
I'd have to go with those as the links too, although I don't really like the idea of dropping Gorz, he does conflict with the 14 traps (3 of which are cont. traps).
How does the deck cope with backrow?
I did have another question, can't remember it though :/.
Why 3 Fiendish AND 3 Effect Veiler? You don't need both you are already running 3 Threatening Roar. So you have both jobs that fiendish chain covered by other cards that have far more utility in your deck. Effect Veiler helps summon boss monsters and makes synchros in a pinch. Roar is recyclable as you mentioned in your OP and it'll stay on your field. I say
-3 Fiendish Chain
+1 Heavy Storm
total 43 cards. Gives you backrow destruction and nothing gets in the way of Gorz
I dont like Heavy Storm anymore in this format. Especially in a trap heavy deck. I would rather deal with the conflict of Gorz vs Fiendish Chain rather than Heavy Storm vs all my traps. I also dont run into the problem of Gorz/Chain very often anyway. Veilers are here for the Light and being a Tuner more than anything. Without them my light count is only 3 which wont work and I would also have no Synchro ability. With Chain and Veiler I can have a total lock on most monster effects. Chains being able to also stop a monster from attacking is another reason I wont drop them, aside from being able to be recycled with Mask of Darkness. Both Veiler and Chain have multiple reasons for being in the deck.
Overall having back rows lets the deck have a dimension of control it never had before. I always used Treacherous Trap Hole before, which made me rely on Fader, Gorz and Trag for defense. Now with T Roar and Mirror Force also helpping, I can stall out and control games much easier. Its like having training wheels.
If it was me, I would take out 1 Veiler, 1 fiendish chain, 1 Caius and put heavy storm in, put the 1 Caius in the side deck and go from there. Try it and PM me your outcome, i may want to try it out since it looks so fun:D
