Hello everyone. So I have just got into mechwarrior and I seem to have a problem with a couple of my figs. One is an Ares Poseidon mech which the base will only click once backwards. I have found that the front foot seems to block the higher parts of the base sides from clearing it. Even the lowest parts seem to barely clear the front foot. I don't know how rare the figure is and I sure as heck don't to go file crazy on the fig, so any ideas would be appreciated.
The second problem is I had 2 shadow ravens and a fremont wulfen who's dials won't turn. I tried taken apart one of my shadow ravens as the base wouldn't turn at all and I could hear a slight rattle which was the piece under the heat dial that broke and prevented it from turning. After getting a tiny screw driver and carefully trying to wedge it the tall sides that hold the base broke. I tried to glue them all back on to no avail. I basically got so frustrated I pryed the raven off the base and now he just chills on the top of my desk. I don't want to break the others, but their dials will not turn at all.
Any ideas? I'm too scared to file or pry things apart after losing one of my ravens.
This is an old post; have you resolved the issue? I have had to arm-wrestle a LOT of clix figs over the years, and can probably help.
Some of it depends on how the dial is put together; generally infantry figures are easiest to work on, then vehicles, lastly 'mechs. Mechs are worst as you are contending with a larger dial base which [sometimes] is badly glued to the figure itself, in addition to the heat dial being affixed to the base.
