I'd have to re-read the card again. I'll try to do so after the holidays; unfortunately, I have too much going on right now, and my MK cards are still mostly packed from my move earlier this year. I know where the boxes are, but I don't know which box they are in right off hand.
I would super appreciate it and Ill post what the card say tonight.
thanks!

So I'm not sigma, but I think modifiers come after replacements. Mage Blast is a replacement value, so modifications to a figures ranged damage value take place after the Mage Blast roll. Stormfire is different because only the primary target is effected by the attacker's ranged damage value -- the splash damage is dictated by the the SA, not the figure, so Spirit Armor doesn't help it. Does that make sense? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Spirit Armor
"All friendly figures with range values greater than 0 get +2 to their range values. All friendly elven lords figures get +1 to their damage and ranged damage values."
This is what I believe as well. Which could mean a possible 7 damage or 8 with a critical hit from weapon master or mage blast... or a psoible 2... but no less than 2.

Yeah, I'm almost positive that's how it works. Siggy can correct me if I'm wrong.
