I played this guy in a 300 point two team abilities game yesterday (Brotherhood and X-Men was my chosen pairing). He rolled 3 critical misses in a row. The thought of him setting his own trousers on fire time after time gave me and my opponent quite a laugh (despite that it should have been quite frustrating). However, since his attack power states "When Pyro uses Energy Explosion", not when he uses it and hits, he still threw up some life saving Barriers for the team. Then, since he was damaged to his 4th click, and my characters (thanks to Beast's Defend) were all higher defense values than all my opponent's pieces, I said "Oh, why not go for broke" and Sidestep Pulse Waved every figure on the map. Well, THIS TIME I rolled a 10. So I hit my whole team, his whole team, and Pyro healed 1 click thanks to taking a token off himself with the attack roll. In the end, I won the game. So the moral of the story is, for 50 points, this guy can roll 3 critical misses and STILL be worth his point cost and then some. The dice may not be my friend, but Pyro, well he's a good mate to have in your corner, aye!
