Question:
Can Magneto G015 use his Trait "The Force of Magnetism Is At My Command" to place Magneto's G015 2x2 base in an adjacent square to its current square ?
-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy .... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????
Colossal Retaliation: Master of Magnetism: FREE: If no other friendly character has been placed this turn, choose an opposing character that attacked Magneto or damaged a friendly character since your last turn. Place Magneto such that he can make a range attack targeting the chosen character then do so.
Question:
Can Magneto used his retaliation after being placed by his own "The Force of Magnetism Is At My Command" Trait, since it says, If no other friendly character has been placed this turn ?

Technically yeah, but you’d never really need to. Unless you were trying to get him in range of someone’s perplex.

Also note that the trait just says choose a character, not choose a friendly character, so you can use his trait on your opponent’s figures.

I'm lost on the wording of this I feel. Is the wording "Choose an opposing character that attacked Magneto or damaged a friendly since your last turn" limited by line of fire or range or anything? Or can he just move about the map as he sees fit?

That's also the wording on moody every colossal retaliation figure... most of them are 15- 30 points and can jump anywhere on the map as long as it's too hot a figure that hurt a friendly. Overpowered? Yeah, to a point... but most of them break theme and have 1 click of life so they aren't terribly hard to take out.

With placing a 2X2, can I effectively move it two squares? or do I have to place it such that the corner I choose goes into a square adjacent to the square that corner occupied?
To show it, could you move a 2X2 from A squares to B squares?

I know that if you could move the character one square, you couldn't do that, but this doesn't say move the character one square or place it one square away, it says place it in a square adjacent to its current square.
So choose a corner of the base, and the square it’s occupying. After you move, that corner must be occupying a square adjacent to the square that corner last occupied. This holds true for all 4 corners and squares, so no pivoting on a single square is allowed. That’s how I use Sidestep on my XDPS Dark Phoenix.
