I thought they changed the rules on HSS to where you couldn't use SS along with it. I can't seem to find it anywhere in any rules. I am confusion. Was it reversed or something?
Assuming you mean super strength, the change is in the object attack, which is now a CLOSE/ RANGE action instead of the old way of any close attack had to use a held object.
However, you can still use the knockback portion of super strength in any attack so you can still "use it" with HSS.
-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy .... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????
If you find it, let me know.I’ve been looking for HSS+SS+objects for about 2 years now.

They say the best weapon is one you never have to fire. I respectfully disagree. I prefer the weapon you only have to fire once. That's how Dad did it, that's how America does it, and it's worked out pretty well so far." Robert Downey/Tony Stark
Hypersonic Speed
BREAKAWAY +2. POWER: Halve range, :, :0. Move, then make an attack, then move up to ‘your speed value minus the number of squares just moved’.
The key here, folks, is "make an attack". Using an object requires an Object Action which HSS no longer allows.

Thank you, I should have been more clear with my comment that was meant as a slight nudge to those who decide on the rules. I was referring to the days where this combo was legal, which I miss.

I like that you can no longer use Super Strength with Hypersonic Speed. It’s too easy to one shot a character when you can hit them for 6-8 damage in one attack.
I love Heroclix, it's my favorite hobby since 2002.

Respectfully I don’t. It would have been best for the combo to retire to Golden Age untouched. That way for those that don’t like 1 hit KOs they wouldn’t have to deal with it in Modern. It would have been there for Golden Age matches the same way it has been since 2003 with Our Worlds at War Superman. If they were going to give us knockback, they could have started using circles instead of squares on the dial like they did for the WWE Clix.

Ummm... you do resize that 2 Perplexes does the same thing as a heavy in close combat, right?
It would have been more complex and convoluted to explain to new players that a figure works one way in certain games and differently in another so I'm glad they didn't do that. I think one big reason for the change was that everyone can carry light objects now... the Flash hitting everyone for an extra point of damage every turn until objects are gone (with several different options to get extra objects on a team) would be worse, IMHO... not to mention some old special objects that would have been much more overpowered if any speedster could use them regardless of strength level.

Since we are throwing questions around... Do you realize WK retires elements often? Do you realize that I was writing about retiring the green squares as super strength and using a circle for the way the SS knockback power is written now?
SS is arguably different enough to warrant retirement and replacement with a new symbol. Do you not feel it is annoying to have an invasive devaluation of people’s collection? A retroactive and purposeful weakening of older clix literally just because when a simple retirement could have done the job. Streamlined Golden Age rules in a similar way to what they had done with modern would have been preferred by those of us who’d like
Instead many players have 4 or 5 major iterations of the rules in their head. I have been around since Infinity Challenge. It is tough to keep things straight.
On top of that, my and many other players’ collection trade value is less. This suggestion would have been a way to minimize that loss.
The reason why I commented is that maybe future changes that impact Golden Age clix won’t be so rough on players. Likely nothing will happen to this change the rule set affecting this combo. That’s ok. I hope they will be a little more considerate to the people that have bought their stuff over the years. Not that they aren’t ... but just a little more.
I understand they have to sell new stuff. It is my belief that they can do both sell us different stuff.... and not have to thrash the value of a collection with a retroactive ruling. Heck the points formula decreases do that thrashing already... it is not like that process needs to be sped up.
I don’t mind that modern age players have new ways to play, that’s what makes the game fresh. This idea would have a new PAC power.
How does one eat an elephant? (One bite at a time) I don’t think it is too much to not show them characters with green squares for a while while they get a modified PAC down. Then when they have it down then teach them golden age stuff.
That’s all this was. You’re welcome to think oppositely. Based upon the tone of your writing, I believe you think I hadn’t put thought into this opinion. Respectfully, Think whatever you will. I know I will.

It is not tough to keep things straight if you read the most current iteration of each power though. I am also a player from the pre-carded era who has seen numerous changes even before I went on hiatus in 2007. When I came back to the game in 2016, I didn’t play the game like it was 2007 because I knew the game was in a different place. I read the most up to date rules and powers at that time. When the 2017 rules update happened, I read through all of those changes as well. It’s most simple to play the game as the rules say currently. Enhancement used to function alongside energy explosion, but I know that has long been an outdated power pairing. I’m not gonna run that combo in golden age just because it used to function like that over 15 years ago.
If Wizkids wanted to keep value in our golden age collection, they would do more to emphasize golden age formats for their official tournaments. I’m not a Magic player, but I am of the understanding that Magic does a good job to uphold the value of its older cards because of the formats that game has.
Super Strength is barely at all different with the new rules, only real difference is the buff of knockback. Making a new standard power would not accomplish anything. The rules are different, and they affect more interactions than just HSS+SS. The only real way to maintain this other than just saying that you play old pieces with old rules would be to specifically errata every desired affected piece with a special power in place of HSS.
