If a figure with poison and outwit bases a figure with toughness and outwits the figures toughness, at the beginning of the outwiter's turn will the figure with toughness receive a clix of damage or will the toughness be restored before the poison does its damage.
If it does not work could you then outwit toughness again then right after you do this deliver your poison damage or would that not be the beginning of the turn anymore.
The timing is at the beginning of your turn, you may outwit a defense then poison (works for Invul and Imperv as well).
You do not get your outwit back until the beginning of your next turn.
On a related note, Whitney Frost is a badass.
We need Sand. And Sandman. And even Sandy the Golden Boy.
The absolute first thing which happens in your turn is that old effects go away---Outwit fades, Barrier tokens are removed, etc.
After these old effects have left, powers or abilities taking place at the beginning of your turn occur, in whatever order the active player wishes---Poison, Leadership, etc.
During this second step, you may also use powers such as Outwit and Perplex, as the beginning of your turn is still part of your turn.
so, then, using outwit at the beginning of your turn would constitute the end of "the beginning of your turn", right? Poison's moment would already be over? I guess I'm not sure that I understand the answer to the original post's question.
no, he is saying that since outwit can be used any time during your turn, it can be used in the beginning. You can choose the order of applying the effect of outwit and the effect of poison. I recommend outwitting the defense first and then applying the poison damage
This thread was MADE for Whiney Frost (dernjg knows the score with this LE ).
I have used the tatic/scenario your asking about .
At the start of your turn: outwit your opponents defense and then poison does one damage point.
It is especially nasty if you can get more than one opponent.
