Not good. However he is only 10 points and does help with the Thing Robot. Also the FF team ability is nothing to scoff at and is an extra figure for theme team prob. I'd probably opt for an equip over him though in most circumstances.

Is he terrible? He’s only 10 points for this and whatever defensive abilities you’ll be stacking on him

Not sure what others see or rather don't see. 10 points you get an armor piercing, tie-up figure. 4 clicks of life too so in order to eliminate him with 1 hit a designated attacker most likely needs to get involved.
