Pretty Straight forward- What Character do you think will work really well with the Silver Surfboard?



My first vote is for TERRAX. Giant Reach 3 will be super nice with Hypersonic instead of just charge. and that 12 move is icing on the Cosmic cake.

Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing it on Knull, and agod emperor doom. Like they're not amazing already

Dumb question probably as I'm quite bad at this but could it work well with HoX 059a Apocolypse? He has no running shot or charge or anything so I imagine it could help. Admittingly, it would not work well with pen/psy but I believe it could work quite well with the giant reach and steal energy. Plus you can keep him safe and have more options. Sounds nice to me

I think Goblin Glider or Exospex is better for Apoc.

So I'm pretty new and have few items. If I don't have either, could the surfboard still be worthwhile for Apoc or not worth the 10 points?

With the Cosmic keyword, Willpower and repositioning as part of HSS, if teamed with other fliers... such as


(pick Empower and Willpower)

Warhawk can reposition himself after attacks to direct sorties against opponents.

I see it as even better on his 75 point line, paired with a Krakoan revival of higher points- hes not getting KO'd, so he doesnt drop the board. Otherwise still a grand piece to Add HSS to especially starting with P/T

Also, once the WW set comes out, this item can become even better now that characters can use hypersonic and pen/psy. My previous idea of Apocolypse might be even better now. Another idea that, while significantly worse, could be really fun is to give CAAV 100 Baron Zemo the board. He probably isn't good but he sounds fun, I just haven't gotten a chance to use him cause he has no move and attack. Now this gives him that, and it will work with pen/psy.

Make Big D a Herald to gain Power C and a 5-range and have him go Surfin' USA. It gives your opponent something else to think about in addition to his Omega Beam, although his 8-speed will not exactly make him quick on his feet....

Doesnt being the herald preclude being able to be equipped, though?

Darkseid already has Quintessence. Power Cosmic is redundant.

Kind of, normally yes, but characters like kobik, Moriarty who can get rid of team abilities exist, and also running shot with 5 range, HSS, adding PC, and the ability to call in galactus.. especially with a great defense power like that backing him up to last

Also, since he is more than 150 points, he couldn't be a herald in a 300 point game.

I think the Superman common from the Wonder Woman set will work extremely well. 15 move hypersonic is nothing to scoff at. Especially with 13 attack, 6 damage
