originally, i was just going to call it UCWF (and i do retain it's acronym in the dial nomenclature) but both as a swan song and given the material, calling it POWERBOMB! is a nice nodding throwback to hcrealms history. it may be asking a high bar of expectations that no set truly could meet, but i've certainly got more than a few questionable licensing inclusions here that the imaginary lawyers may have to hash out .
with wwe rules and format and a marvel license with a notable super-powered wrestling past, i think it's only a matter of time before the marriage of these mechanisms makes its way to clix, so let's play with it now, eh? i also kept adding and adding bits to the set since this will be my last one and there's no reason to hold back, so it wound up being my biggest set ever. on top of everything else, the wwe rules introduced the oh-so pregnant with potential term "multiverse games" which helped nudge me towards subthemes with multiversal applications and appeal. so in addition to ucwf (naturally) and the grapplers (obviously), grab some front row seats for the DP7, squadron supreme, ultraforce (yes, you read that right), new warriors, BUCkies, dark ultimates, into the spiderverse (starter set), the origin of spiderman (and a hefty spiderman family adjacent theme), the challenge of the champion, every wrestler and boxer you can dredge up out of the official handbook of the marvel u and a ton of celebrities, too. the chase theme is various promoters and managers, and i even managed to fit the fightbolts in here, too. so, step up to the squared circle and let's get ready to rumble

UCWF rules will be WWE rules but with the acceptably licensed materials affixed in order to keep the lawyers at bay. the starter will include the UCWF PAC which, again, is the WWE PAC but with the right acronyms for marvel's purposes
for those unfamiliar with the added rules, here are the extra terms you'll be seeing in this set:
Bounce - This character treats printed hindering and printed blocking terrain as Ropes. (You can bounce enemies off them and fully use Flying Leap if adjacent to 2+ of them.)
Pin - FREE: Choose an adjacent opposing character that’s on a blue click # and that this character hit with their Signature Move this turn. You both roll a d6, and if your result is higher, deal that character 1 penetrating damage and repeat this process. If your opponent rolls a 6 (Kick Out), that character heals 1 click.
Grand Entrance - During your first turn, if this character is in your starting area, they have “FREE: Move”
UCWF Rules - This character can’t be the target of range attacks or Outwit if: they’re on click #1, they’re on a click with a blue click #, -or- they’ve already been targeted by a range attack this turn. Protected: Pulse Wave.

that can use Charge or Combat Reflexes. // FREE: Make a close attack targeting an adjacent character that this character knocked back this turn.
● Lightning Speed: POWER: 웃 ●. Move up to 3 squares, then make a close
attack, then move up to 2 squares.
● Nimble: 웃 █, BREAKAWAY +2. FREE: Move up to 1 square.
Attack
● Reversal: Adjacent opposing characters have BREAKAWAY -2. // FREE: If this character has been given no actions or only a MOVE action this turn, make a close attack targeting a character that missed this character or failed to break away from this character since your last turn.
● Slam: CLOSE: Make a close attack. After resolutions, choose one: Give a hit character an action token -or- Place a hit character in a square adjacent to this character.
● Stun: When this character hits 1+ characters, a hit character modifies attack and damage -1 until your next turn.
● Submission Hold: FREE: If this character hasn’t moved or been placed this turn, deal 1 damage to target adjacent opposing character. Both characters gain Immobile until your next turn.

Ugh... Back at it again! This looks like so much fun. Also... 65 cents for a comic.... Man I miss that.
Ha, yeah, I got one more in me. I've been tooling around with this one for what feels like forever. I've finished it out, thought about someone else, and opened it up again to cram them in somehow I don't know how many times . It's the reason this one is such a big boy.
There's a lot of obscure here, maybe on par with who's who, and some offbeat subthemes, but a handful of familiar faces and into the spiderverse starter should market itself. I also know the added wwe rules are an uphill battle working against the learning curve here, but I hope you take the ride and enjoy it. There are wrestling powers in here, but it's not at all wrestling or hybrid wrestling dials

I remember digging through a spinner and grabbing the entire Rocket Raccoon mini-series at one time from the one 7-11 in our little Texas town.
Man I remember picking up the Thing as it was coming out...and once again I'm late to the party.

I think to fully appreciate this set I'm going to have to familiarize myself with the wrestling rules.
Ms Marvel, finally a Sharon Carter Ms Marvel dial and you've hit all the highlights. For 45 points how could you not want to run that dial.
Gator Grant, I love me a classic "Hulk" dial, especially that last click. Wooo-we, dat gun be some mighty fine wrastlin yah!
Have we ever gotten an alligator pog? If so I'd have to get one so I could have "Gator the gator" to go along with this Hoodoo wrestling machine!
Demolition Dunphy, I've always had a soft spot for Dunphy and I'm glad he's managed to hang in there over the years....though it hasn't been easy for old D-Man.
Gahhhh, I'm really tempted to read the set list this time, because I've got some real wants connected to this theme.....but I like getting a surprise each day, so I'll resist.

That was even in the Eternals mini-series, once again the thoroughness of your set lists impresses me.
Maybe It's Time I Learned-- Using The Power Of The Eternals!, Ikky is going to be a Deviant stomping machine with this special....of course it also plays merry hob with Skrulls, Wraiths and any other shape shifting infiltrator out there.
Signature Move: Secret Kung Fu Smash, now that's a signature move with some impressive teeth. Best used strategically ( which I love ), used right that's going to cripple an opposing piece. Hopefully long enough to count them out for the game.
Its early days of course, but I can't help but think that besides his role as bruiser his lovely long runs of Prob and Perplex and going to be very important for his teams as well.
I do love tent-pole that brings it's own support!
