I am a huge Fallout fan but when The Outer Worlds was announced back when, and I found out it was developed by Obsidian I was thrilled.
The only issue I've had was that I didn't want it to end.

When I purchased the game I gambled picked up the whole package with the DLCs' Peril on Gorgon and Murder on Eridanos.
I have been pleasantly surprised for a variety of reasons.
The base game was solid, satisfying, and complete (Though, as I've already mentioned, too short.)
I was impressed by the overall quality of the game. I expected good things from Obsidian and Private Division and wasn't disappointed.

The first DLC to come along was Peril on Gorgon. It was fun, challenging, and well written. Just a little too short.
The newest and from what I hear, the last DLC is Murder on Eridanos.

I just started playing it and I'm the writing is really very good, and so far everything else is making this an enjoyable experience.
The art/graphics are beautiful and the sense of humor that the creators have is pretty clever.
The music is great and just adds to the whole experience.
All in all, I really like this game a lot and I'd love to see more like this.

I don't think I would tire of this as a series of games down the road. Especially in light of whole Fallout experience being a little disorganized and uncertain.
Fallout 76 just made me remember that multiplayer games aren't my favorite genre. I love Fallout because I can wander around without interacting with douchebags at all. Some of it's fun, like the Battle Royale style of gameplay. I enjoy that, but to me Fallout is a terrific solo type game. I would love to play Fallout 76 as a solo open world kind of thing.

Fallout 5, if it comes out, will probably arrive when I'm close to 70.
I'm starting to feel like Skyrim Grandma (who seems to be a pretty cool person.) when she was worried that She wouldn't get to play a new Elder Scrolls game.

Anyway...
What are your experiences with The Outer Worlds so far, Good, Bad, or otherwise?
Are you fans of Obsidian in the first place?
Is there any news of other expansions to this franchise or similar projects?
