He still wins the normal way via KO'ing opponents, he just has a difficult to activate effect that automatically KO's them all. Consequently it is possible, though unlikely, to activate his effect and still lose if your opponent has something to prevent KO.

Apocalypse as an example. His everlasting trait would prevent him from being KO'd so long as it hasn't already been triggered.
